Dear Nigerians:

The INEC deadline for submission of candidates for the upcoming elections is now past. Of the three "Generation One" parties-AD, ANPP and PDP-AD does not have its own presidential ticket. All the three "Generation Two" parties-APGA, UNPP and NDP have chosen theirs, as well as fourteen of the twenty-four "Generation Three" parties.

Any errors in the lists below will be corrected by INEC shortly.

Lest we forget that there are other contests in the polity. The slate of dates is:

- 12 April: National Assembly (House and Senate) elections

- 19 April: Presidential and state governors’ elections

- 26 April: Possible run-offs

- 3 May: State assemblies’ elections

- 29 May:  President and other elected officials hand over ?

By the way, does anyone hear about our local government elections?  Amazing how those just “fizzled” out!
