Based on a hypothesis, let assumed British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) made it public in the Internet survey as it normally does, what percentage of the world population is unconscious, … 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or 80 percent? Upon conclusions British Broadcasting Corporation found 70 percent of the world population is unconscious! What if British Broadcasting Corporation poll shows 40 out of 70 percent represent Nigerians? What would be our initial reaction and thereafter? Stand up for what’s right, even if we are going to be alone and begin to analyze aggressively on the poll, as right or wrong statistic?

Nigerians do not need such poll to show that most are unconscious; particularly, we wait for British Broadcasting Corporation and other western agencies conduct illegal-conscious survey to determine how unconscious we are in attempt to know what next about us? Can Nigerian media organization(s) conduct any survey on the British without permissions from the British government as British Broadcasting Corporation is conducting while unconsciously expressing or informing about our future through emotions? If not, why is Nigerian government or Nigerians welcoming British Broadcasting Corporation’s poll as favors?

On accounts, British Broadcasting Corporation has conducted several conscious social science polls on Nigerians; for examples, during Miss World Beauty Pageant in Abuja , 2002, British Broadcasting Corporation surveyed and ascertained what Nigerians think of the Pageant as it was not successful due to religious crisis? Furtherance, according to recent poll British Broadcasting Corporation has determined Nigerians are the most “happiest people on earth.” The survey has helped psychic us as we seems to agreed with the outcome as it has made our world a different place that we are the happiest people on earth. More so, British Broadcasting Corporation pulled out a survey on the ‘most religious nations’ and the survey puts Nigeria as number one ahead of other nations. Of recently, President Olusegun Obasanjo made selfish remarks on behalf of our beloved nation ( Nigeria ) that, ‘if you are not ready to die for Nigeria , one does not deserve to be Nigerian.’ British Broadcasting Corporation has attempted to know whether Nigerians are willing to die for Nigeria . To show many Nigerians are unconscious or incomplete in our hearts, when most viewpoints stated dying for Nigeria does not worth the cause. Why blaming Obasanjo’s Administration alone without holding everyone accountable for what has being transpiring in Nigeria since so called democratic government took over the country, especially most believed that democracy is a free enterprise to grow on. Of course, being the leader, Obasanjo is responsible for what’s happening however not ‘total sum,’ Nigerians collectively are responsible and accountable for building Nigeria .

As British and the American citizens in Iraq revitalizing their economies by throwing bombs and employing its citizens and permanent residences to clean up the bombs, equally, Nigerian citizens are responsible to build Nigeria . President Obasanjo's statement is genuinely; I am convinced that the statement came with lots of frustrations as Nigerians especially those abroad and at home who have the means to help the economy by creating employment or insights. On how to create businesses are only hanging around for the government to make things better instead of helping the government make things better, so that the average and poor people on the street can be fairly better up. On my part, dying for Nigeria will be privilege and worth the cause; I will prefer to die for Nigeria without ‘recognition’ even if President Obasanjo didn’t make it public. What’s wrong dying for ones country, if it’s just cause? Americans and British are dying in Iraq for unjust cause to build their economies. Why not Nigerians?

The Bottom Line:

British are deviating to properly know us properly in different period. The disturbing part is that, quite often, British Broadcasting Corporation sends few among our own to conduct such sampling. Nigerian media organizations in reciprocations should take sampling on why British government came to colonized Nigeria or did Nigeria need colonization for an independence, etc? British Broadcasting Corporation has not any other nations to focus her social science polls but returning to the so-called ‘old colony to re-colonized Nigerians in the modern world through random sampling?’

Nigerian government is responsible to determine such polls not foreign entity consciously comforting while knowing our psychological mind, and while such survey is taken, our children’s future is not promising. This is another approach to know us while planning their children’s future as they did on our ancestors. Such poll must be conducted as part of our national security to determine our children’s future, because such polls British Broadcasting Corporation is conducting on our behalf as mere polls are jeopardizing our children’s future while determining their offspring’s future.

What would be the next British Broadcasting Corporation’s social science poll on Nigeria [ns]?
