Igbophobia
in Cyberspace (Part 2): A Case Study of Olisa Osita’s continued
Falsehood By Emmanuel Franklyne Ogbunwezeh Olisa Osita seeks every opportunity to show the world that he is a venerable ruin and a despicable psychopath. He nurses a deep psychopathology that harasses all his waking moments, with a kind of phobia and trauma unparalleled in the history of madness and insanity. The conclusions have come home that this guy lives on borrowed intelligence. And when one is so afflicted, he invents failures and lies as a matter of nature and course. His long silence left me wondering whether he has decided to go back to school to learn some logic and the paths of clear reasoning only for me to be once more made to realise that a goat can never stop eating yams, consequent on that instinct being inscribed in the core fibres of its genetic blueprint. In fact, the malodorous stench native to the Shrew simply resides in its genes, and no amount of perfume and unwarranted olfactory indulgence can ever make him smell better. In the same vein, Osita cannot cease turning logic, facts and history on its head, in order to sound relevant. This is simply a prologue, but I am going to give you clear and concise examples of an advanced level of madness and allergy to truth which oozes from every sentence in the submissions he tendered below. Long have I realise that liars need not be called to the conference table for dialogue. There exists no basis for that. There can never be a meeting point between darkness and light. It is a battle for the supremacy of integrity over that of cheap falsehood. Falsehood for me is an enemy that must be fought. I told Olisa Osita in my last take on his delusional phobia of Ndigbo, that the battle is on. The torch a la John Fitzgerald Kennedy has been passed to a new generation of Ndigbo, who would rather lay down their lives, than watch our heritage desecreated and borne lightly by cryptic impostors that hide behind the snug comforts of the keyboard to perpetrate a regime of lies and falsehood, about a reality that towers above their midget and Liliputian, most times, borrowed intelligences. Olisa Osita sent a reply to Chris Okoye’s submissions in the the ASA-USA forum on the arisings flowing from Achuzie’s criticisms of the sensationalization of the discovery of human skulls and partially decomposing bodies at a Shrine in Okija. Chris Okoye essayed to register his dissatisfaction with Achuzie’s stance on the Okija saga. In response to that Olisa Osita came up
with the reply which I wish to represent below in its originality
without embellishments, to apprise you of the basis of my disgust at
such a willful miscarriage of unsubstantiate facts, in order to arrive
at untenable conclusions which radically violates logic and cheapen
truth as it is. Osita Olisa characteristically wrote:
Ladies and Gentlemen: Mazi Chris Okoye, I do not know how old you are but you sound as if you are unfamiliar with the exploits of legendary Col. Achuzie, the “Air Raid” during the Biafran civil war. Here are few facts. 1. Achuzie never had prior military training before the outbreak of the Nigerian civil war. He claimed to have fought during the second world war under the British command. His record of service is no where document in British archive. During the war he was so boastful about his military exploits that during one of the press conferences, he volunteered the information that he served during the second world war and British journalists dug for his record of service and found none. Since the cat was let out of the bag, Achuzie has never publicly make such bogus claim. 2.
During the war, the Biafran forces
ambushed a convoy of the 102 Nigerian supply vehicles and fuel tankers
along Enugu/Abagana Rd. And set it ablaze with hand grenade. Col Achuzie
was no where near the ambushed zone of operation, but he claimed to be
the person that led the operation. 3.
Col. Achuzie was the greatest
source of discontentment amongst high echelon of Biafran military brass.
People like Brigadier Nwawo, Okwechime, Col. Ogbogwu Kalu, Onwuatuegwu
etc. All of these officers knew that Col. Achuzie was an impostor who
knew nothing about warfare but were afraid of making their views known
publicly for fear of being tagged saboteurs. Achuzie who never served in
the Nigerian army was used to superimpose on more seasoned, experienced
and well trained Military officers. But why? Col. Achuzie was the
closest military officer to His Excellency, General Chukwuemeka Odemegwu
Ojukwu. It was a marriage of strange bedfellows. Ojukwu was using Col.
Achuzie as a willing tool in checkmating these officers against
conspiracy for possible military overthrow of his government. It was
common practice that any time Biafran forces in a sector lost ground or
suffered military defeat from Federal troops, the Division Commanding
officer was immediately transferred out and Col Achuzie drafted in to
hold fort. That will create the impression that the transferred
Divisional Commanding officer. Col Achuzie was bloodthirsty and he was
killing people without qualms or fear of recriminations. Col
Achuzie was made Secretary-General of Ohaneze due to the aura of myth of
fealessness he built around himself during the war. Now the chicken is
coming home to roost. When I say that Biafra was a senseless suicide
mission, people call me names. The just shall be vindicated. It will be
an act of brazen self-deception for any middle aged Igbo person to claim
shocked by this news. Cannibalism was pervasive and preponderant during
the war. It started even before the Republic was declared. Awusa people
captured during routine “combing” before war started was sure
delicacy. Initially I thought to myself that it could have been the
exception to the rule. But with time the pattern became clear as common
practice. We
“Ndigbo” need to go back to the drawing board and look ourselves in
the mirror and start necessary atonement and self-purification for our
children and those coming after them. That is the real love for Ndigbo.
This forum is quiet because all that
was hidden is coming to light. How can we look other Nigerian ethnic
nationalities in the eye and talk about vaue, morality, descency, taste.
Etc. Our pride is tresspassed. We are tainted. Take care. Olisa
H. Osita California This mail reeks with the pungent and malodrous odour of some scurrilious fiction. I would spare you some rigmaroling. I will go straight into some hermeneutical analysis of this crass crucifixion of facts. Lets start from where he started. 1.
On
Col. Achuzie’s past and role during the war: Olisa cited this as his major premise for
all other subsequent minor and major conclusions he drew in the course
of his long fabrication of fictions that have no basis in fact.
He wrote that Achuzie never had any military training before the
Biafran war and to prove this he stated that the British Press could not
find records of his claimed Military service during the second world
war. Olisa should have
referred us to his source of that information. Achuzie he claimed made
that assertion in a press conference. Could Olisa please post on this
forum his source so that independent minds can check it and confirm the
veracity of his submissions. That is the first. Secondly, If Achuzie
made that statement. He must have known or believed it to be true. The
British Press according to our Olisa went in to dig, but could not find
records in their archives attesting to Achuzie’s claims, just like
they found actual records in their archives that Sadaam Husseni had
weapons of mass destruction in his Iraqi backyard to justify the
sympathetic greed for Iraqi oil that they shared with the United
States.. Is this not reminiscent of their greed for Biafran oil, which
was a major strategic platform upon which they lent their weight to the
Gowon led forces against Biafra. Facts of history and recent opinion
polls have proved that the British are the most criminally minded
people in the world. They outclassed the Italian, and the Nigerians in
their proclivities to pilfering and petty thefts which in politics could
translate to treachery. Instances will prove to you that we have no
right to believe the British press as against Achuzie. We in fact have
more reasons to disbelieve the British side of the story than that of
Col. Achuzie, if he actually made that statement. The Hutton Inquiry
panel was a revelation of how the British government was so willing to
doctor scientific and factual evidence of the British scientist Kelly,
in order to justify their war on Iraq. The Biafra of Achuzie’s time
was in a state of war against a British ally; namely Nigeria, at the
time in question. And Achuzie as a name was driving terror into the
morale of Nigerian soldiers, which warranted an interview with a British
press in the first place. Failures are never interviewed. Only
successful men are feted and courted by the press. That Achuzie was
deemed worthy of an interview was as a result of the fiction that Olisa
would have us believe he was without military training, yet he was so
successful in the battle fields that the British press guys who were
actively pro-Nigeria, considered him worthy to risk the shrapnels
falling all over Biafra to keep an interview date with him. Another
example that pleads Achuzie’s side of the story is that you caught a
thief today does not necessarily mean that he started today. He may have
had a history of stealing. That Salisu Buhari was found out as a
certificate forger as he became speaker of the House does not mean that
that was the first time he ever forged papers to advance ahead of those
more suitably qualified. In fact, that he swore the affidavit of his
age, where he claimed to be born in 1963, instead of 1970 that was his
actual birthday reveals the fact, that he did that not necessarily for
the purpose of becoming a speaker in 1999, but for some other purposes,
because, as of 1983, he never knew that he would become a speaker of the
house of reps in 1999. Then equally he never even knew that Abacha would
die on top of prostitutes as to give the military a hurried exit door
out of government. So he may have being using those papers for other
petty forgeries and getting away with it. So is it with the British.
That the lid blew open on the Hutton Inquiry does not mean that it is
the first time they are witholding evidence to advance their selfishly
immoral causes. Achuzie’s case may have been one insignificant part of
them all. The British government may have willing remove or even erased
all documents relating to Achuzie’s service in the archives as to
demystify him and give the Nigeria soldiers some psychological salve for
their fears of this man’s image, which has grown so big, in the course
of the war. From the evidence adduced above, a reasonable man is wont to
lean favorably on Achuzie’s claims until the obverse if proved by a
neutral third party. Britain was not neutral in this instance, infact,
Biafra and by implication, Achuzie fought Britain by proxy. And the
British proxy here being the government of Yakubu Gowon. It would
tantamount to the height of foolery to expect a mortal enemy that I am
fighting by proxy to be charitable to some records of my abilities,
which though in their custody have the potential of changing the outcome
of battles fought on their behalf. Let reason be the judge here. Once
this foundation of Olisa’s falsehood has fallen, just watch how others
fell in domino obedience to it. Secondly, Olisa wrote in his second point
as follows: During
the war, the Biafran forces ambushed a convoy of the 102 Nigerian supply
vehicles and fuel tankers along Enugu/Abagana Rd. And set it ablaze with
hand grenade. Col Achuzie was no where near the ambushed zone of
operation, but he claimed to be the person that led the operation. (See
No.2 above) I reply by saying: Olisa should tell us
where he was during the Abagana ambush. If he has a part of the
battalion that achieved that great feat as to know who led the attack.
He should equally name his source if he was not an intimate participant
at that event. That is the way of scholarship. No scholar pleads as a
fact, what cannot be supported or substantiated by hard evidence. Olisa
should after listing the actual participants and the leader of attack,
then refer us to the source where Achuzie claimed to have led the
attack, when he did not lead it. Not naming all these sources equates
his submissions to a rumour which I very well know that it is. On his third point, which he itemized as
No.3, he submitted that
Achuzie was the greatest
source of discontentment amongst high echelon of Biafran military brass.
And he imputed a knowlege of this on people like Okwechime, Nwawo,
Ogbogwu kalu, etc. Here, I would equally like him to cite instances as
well us give us his source. We need to check out his story. He should
refer us to where the above named people wrote what he imputed to them
or said it. He need to cite the private interview they had with him
since they were afraid according to him to do that publicly. We are in
the courts of reason. And the only currency of validity here is
evidence. We challenge Olisa Osita to come up with factual hard data and
evidence to support his claims. He did not stop there. He called Achuzie
an impostor who knew nothing about warfare. Well my response to that is
simple. His basis for calling Achuzie an impostor may be the reports of
the claimed reports of the British journalists who dug for his records
but could not find any. I think I have deconstructed that in the very
first paragraphs. To that end, it does not hold water. Olisa should
prove to us that Achuzie is an impostor on another set of evidence, not
on this discredited one, which experience has shown to be unsupportable. He equally wrote that Achuzie was used by
Ojukwu to super-impose himself on superior officers. Well to counter
that, we submit that Ojukwu was never a stupid man. This guy would not
have spent his father’s inheritance on a war without justifiable
reasons. He gave in his all; his wealth, his name and even his life. He
risked being identified as a rebel just for the life of his people who
were seen as cheap cattle to be slaughtered by some descendants of
cattle rearers resident in the North of Nigeria. It is on record that
Biafra never attacked anyone, but rose up in defence of herself when
attacked. This attack of Biafra and the injustice of it, drew men like
Achuzie and other Biafran patriots into rising in defence of their
heritage. They were hopelessly outclassed, yet they gave in their lives
that the Koran, once boasted by Ahmadu Bello would not be dipped in the
Atlantic ocean. He jumped from the fear of overthrow nursed
by Ojukwu as his reason for the deployment of Achuzie, to the fact that
Achuzie was drafted to hold fort. I would not go into the facts of the
war, which other authorities and intimate participants in those times
have really taken care of. The fact, remains that Osita Olisa, is not a
person. He is a fathom hiding under this name which as I have noted
elsewhere is nothing but a ruse. This guy should have told us why
Achuzie was drafted to hold fort, if not that he has some successes
under his belt in other theatres as to be considered fit to hold fort.
This is a man he accused of
lacking military training, but he was so successful at creating an aura
over himself, which Ndigbo would never admired save that it has some
roots in fact. He accused Achuzie of killing people left
and right for any flimsy excuse. That is the stuff of rumour. Facts
would list how many people Achuzie actually killed and some examples of
the flimsy excuse under which he killed them. That is the way of
scholarship. When one so generously tenders sweeping generalizations as
a method of argument, he should at least be charitable enough to tender
justifiable evidence in that regard. Olisa nwoke, we need evidence! Be that as it may, if we are to excavate
history, I have read about Platoon commanders in history who variously
threatened to kill any of their soldiers who would dared to run or
desert. This serves as a deterrence to massive desertion, which has
always been a possibility in war. And no General or Army Commander would
like to have a defenceless flank in his hands or have soldiers run in
cowardice in the face of the enemy. If Achuzie employed that as
deterrence to forestall desertion, I see nothing wrong with it under the
circumstances of a battle between life and death. Olisa should let us
know what he would do in such a circumstance, were he in Achuzie’s
shoes, if his submissions were to be correct. He stated equally that Col. Achuzie was
made the Secretary-General of Ohaneze due to the aura of myth of
fearlessness he built around himself. Olisa Osita deploys words in a
wickedly fictious manner to cow the unsuspecting. Achuzie was never made
a Secretary of Ohaneze. Achuzie was ELECTED the Secretary of Ohaneze.
Inasmuch as, I am happy that he did not say that Achuzie rigged the
election to become the Secretary, I wonder when aura became votes as to
be counted in Achuzie’s favour when another person supposedly has the
majority of the votes. In his closing paragraphs Olisa
congratulated his history of inspid falsehood as follows: When
I say that Biafra was a senseless suicide mission, people call me names.
The just shall be vindicated. This is one of the most laughable
revisionist reduction of facts, experience and history that I have ever
come across. According to Olisa Biafra was a senseless
suicide mission. But he has not told us that it remained was of the
greatest act of genocide against a people in the black continent. If
Biafra was a suicide mission, what would Olisa Osita call the
systematic, orchestrated and genocidal massacre of Ndigbo in the North
of Nigeria prior to the war, with the active collusion of the British
government. Olisa in his attempt to hoist the fevered
creation of his compromised imagination as facts of history, has not
told us, the length of his greatness in relation to giants like Chinua
Achebe and even Wole Soyinka, who knew and acknowlege the injustice of
the genocide levelled on the Biafran people. John De St. Jorre reported
the words of a French deputy who visited Biafra during that war told the
world on the bravery of Ndigbo against insurmountable odds. The man
confessed, “Before I came to Biafra, I heard that Biafrans fought like
heroes, but after my visit to Biafra, I can tell you that Heroes fight
like Biafrans. It was a senseless suicide mission according to Olisa,
but the facts on the ground in Nigeria today, justifies the Biafra
attempt at self actualization. Remember, the OPC a few years ago,
prepared their flag and national anthem in readiness for seccession from
this hoax called Nigeria, before one of their own came to power. The
Ogoni’s and other tribes in the Niger Delta are crying
marginalization. The North that has raped Nigerian power for more years
than all the Nigerian tribes put together want power back to continue
their regime of plunder in Nigeria. Securit reports to major world
governments indicate Nigeria as a boiling cauldron that is set to
disintegrate any day. Little wonder, Britain and America always issue
travelling warning to their citizens to steer clear of your Nigeria. All
that Biafra fouhgt against are all front news today. Ndigbo are still
killed in the North. Their properties are being siezed in Lagos. Their
pockets are being picked by the Lagos Street urchins called Alaye. Yet,
this great nation of Africans are so very forgiving that you find them
in the furthest extremes of these places.
Today, the Hausa want Ndigbo to go home. To effectively do that
they introduced Sharia. Ndigbo asked in 1967 to be left alone and
allowed to be in their homes. Because Britain made them see that they
cannot do withour Ndigbo, they used every crooked tactics to force us
back into that geographic expression called Nigeria. When we came back,
they started telling us again that they never wanted us. Once their
digestion is troubled in the North, they find a cheap excuse in their
Igbo neighbours whom they are ready to slaughter at the least excuse.
When onye Igbo asks again to be left alone, then it becomes senseless.
But it sensible for Ndigbo to be killed. I can see the murderer in Olisa
Osita, when he advances arguments such as this lame one.
In his most convulsively reprehensible
falsehoods, Olisa Osita rose to classify Ndigbo as cannibals. I will not
call him a callous and spineless idiot until I conclude setting up the
basis upon which any civilized mind would see him as he is; namely a
liar of first eminence,
whose mind is a terminally disgruntled jungle of prefabricated prejudice
against the august ancestry of Ndigbo. That he should commence an
unprovoked, unsubstantiated, historically and factually inaccurate
imputation of cannibalism on my heritage is a wicked conduct which
cannot be pardoned on the score of manners. His perenial allergy to
truth has continued to push the boundaries of common sense. As I
submitted in my earlier treatise on this guy’s falsehood in Igbophobia
in Cyberspace, this has proved beyond question that by some indefinable
alchemy, Olisa Osita has evolved to embody the worst currents of untruth
and anti-historicism; all in his bid to snipe at Ndigbo. His own
unintelligent mind which he spoke so unintelligently in the following
words below are evidence enough of his depravity. His words which are
represented below proves to you, that I am not insulting Olisa, when I
let him know that he is a liar without frontiers, that I am presenting
the truth of the issue as it is; namely that he is a seasoned inventor
of falsehood. He wrote as
follows: It
will be an act of brazen self-deception for any middle aged Igbo person
to claim shocked by this news. Cannibalism was pervasive and
preponderant during the war. It started even before the Republic was
declared. Awusa people captured during routine “combing” before war
started was sure delicacy. Initially I thought to myself that it could
have been the exception to the rule. But with time the pattern became
clear as common practice. Ladies and Gentlemen, like always, I owe you the duty of analysing the basis for my conclusions. My basis for identifying Olisa as liar without conscience will be unveiled shortly. I crave to analyse the above citation line by line, and word for word as it presents itself. I would be simply phenomenological as well as analytic. The
stated that it tantamounts to self deception for any middle aged Igbo
person to claim shocked by this news, and that cannibalism was pervasive
and preponderant during the war. A journey into history would be of
great help here. G.T Basden was a colonial officer in the Igbo country
during the colonial times. Nowhere did he find evidence of cannibalism
in Anigbo throughout his sojourn in Igbo country. Elizabeth Isichei’s
comprehensive studies failed to come with any. Parrinder, could not find
any despite the popular fictions resident in the unschooled European
minds that Africa was a backyard of cannibals. These authors cited above
are all Europeans. Isichei is an European married to a Black man. What
about Africcan authors. Achebe never found any trace of cannibalism in
his heritage which inspired his great novels. Oliver Onwubiko, Lambert
Ejiofor, Echeruo, Onwuejeogwu, Felicia Ekejiuba and Kenneth Onwuka Dike,
V. C Uchendu, Donatus Nwoga, even Tony Ubesie or F.C Ogbalu. Not even P.
Chibueze Ugwummadu, or Nolue Emenanjo could find anywhere we facts
suggested that Ndigbo were a race of cannibals. Rather this is a race
that respects life, to the extent that “Ndu-bu-isi”, “Ndu ka aku”,
Onye egbule, are all names
that they value and cherish. Ndigbo cherish life to the extent that once
an Onye Igbo gets hold of Kolanut, he is first prayers to the gods of
his knowlege are for “long life and good health” –Ogologo
ndu na ahu isi ike. Osita said that Cannibalism was present in Anigbo even before the war. He failed to cite the places were this practices were recorded. He equally failed to provide evidence to that effect. He said that Ndigbo made a meal of the Hausa captured before the war started during what he called “combing” Is this not an active invention of a lie in a traumatic bid to cast Ndigbo in a bad light. Biafrans were never known to have gone after the Hausas before the war. It is not recorded anywhere because it never happened. Olisa should tell us, when and where Hausa’s were killed even in retaliation before the war. Ojukwu provided all Non-Biafrans a free passage outside Biafra, when the anger of Biafrans over the massacre of their kith and kin threaten to boil over. So Olisa, Nwanna, does this combing happen in your dreams or in your mentally deranged world. If Ndigbo were cannibals, why didn’t the Red Cross, the Vatican as well as the World Council of Churches all of which were intimate participants in relief during the Biafran War report it? Why didn’t the British press report it or even the Nigerians themselves.? It would have served a good propaganda purpose and destroyed Biafra’s case for relief. Or was the Biafran so very clever as to hide this? Did the Nigerian army ever complain that the bodies of their soldiers that fell in battle were exhumed and eaten by the Biafrans? A great opportunity for any race of cannibals would have been the soldier roasted to death on the Abagana ambush. They were roasted for good measure that were the Biafrans to be cannibals, they would not be asking for relief from the outside world and they would not even have bordered when hunger was used against them as an instrument of war against all civilized canons of warfare. Today, America is fighting the Iraqi’s but they have not deemed it fit to cut off their food supply. When America was pounding Afghanistan, food drops was equally approved by the United States government. But in Biafra, the whole hypocritical world stood by when children and women became legitimate targets of war, against the provisions of the Geneva convention. So Olisa, should come and tell us, since he claims to be an Igbo man, as well as an intimate participant in all these, while it took the Okija saga for him to break his silence after all these years of participating in a meal of human flesh in Biafra. My joy was that the Policemen who arrested the traditional religious fraudsters at Okija did not accuse them of cannibalism. No one, not even the man who rightly blew the whistle on them accused them of cannibalism. To this end, when someone immediately see a trend which never existed in a situation, that means that the person is really favourably disposed to that in the most proximate potency. An instance is apposite here. A man who whenever he hears that there is a meeting between boys and girls, jumps into the conclusion that it is a sex galore, may be a closet sex-starved rapist. So also, concluding that Ndigbo are cannibals because some undesirable elements in our backyard use death to psychologically and proofs of that to threaten the unsuspecting not only violates logic, which frowns at over generalizations, but equally reveals the secret heart of Olisa Osita as a closet cannibal. Olisa said that he thought it was the exception but the pattern became clear as common practice.Well it is so very unfortunate that this guy is not in bed in some psychiatric asylum, receiving treatment for his derangement. Ndigbo reside in almost all major cities of the world today plying their trade and enteprise. Nowhere have they ever been accused of cannibalism. The worst that they have ever been accused off is that they are aggressive and are aggressively pursuing wealth. I thank heavens that this is an unwitting recognition of their industry, which may not go down well with the lazy and indolent. It is equally a tribute to the fact that they are impervious to dictatorship and can never genuflect in subservience at anybody’s idols or march under any autocratic banner. Yet, Osita Olisa spoke his unrefined mind with a certainty that only profound falsehood and superlative stupidity could ever breed. I would conclude my analysis with his last paragraph where he at last revealed the fact that he is an castrated impostor. He has been claiming to be Onye Igbo, but his finally submission put paid to that pretence. He wrote as follows: We
“Ndigbo” need to go back to the drawing board and look ourselves in
the mirror and start necessary atonement and self-purification for our
children and those coming after them. That is the real love for Ndigbo.
This forum is quiet because all that
was hidden is coming to light. How can we look other Nigerian ethnic
nationalities in the eye and talk about vaue, morality, descency, taste.
Etc. Our pride is tresspassed. We are tainted. Take care. He is claims to be an Onye Igbo that he is
not is actually been resisted by his subsconscious. Sigmund Freud made
us realise that what we famously refer to as the “Slip of tonuge” or
other seeming mistakes in that class, are not mistakes at all, but are
facts stored in our subsconscious which occasionally rise to claim their
share of attention from our active battle to suppress them. Olisa tried
including himself in “Ndigbo”, but the inverted commas which he used
to enclose it proves that he is not a member of this Nation and race of
great men. In as much as there existed no lingual, literary, mechanical
or grammatic justification for the inverted commas deployed around
Ndigbo, that justifies no other construction than he is affirming what
his subconscious is battling to deny. And the cognitive dissonance
generated by that battle, led him inescapably into coming out of the
shadow to show us his true colour as a non-Igbo person. The sentence
immediately following that shows us that he belongs to that tribe of
perpetual Igbo haters who seek every opportunity to exact an apology
from Ndigbo for refusing to die quietly. Olisa’s brother in the
Internet Igbophobic group that calls himself Remi Oyeyemi
wrote an article titled “Of Amnesia and Myopia: The Igbos in Nigerian Politcs”, published
on Wednesday 8th of May, 2002 at this internet portal http://nigeriaworld.com/letters/2002/may/081.html
Here, after delivering a seven-paged insipid lecture, impregnated
with profound ignorance, transparent jealousy and incurable conceit to
Ndigbo and the reasons for their political misfortune in Nigeria
concluded in the 24th paragraph of his 26th
paragraphed piece of uneducated trash that Ndigbo should go an apologise
to his tribe Yorubas and other minority groups for an unnamed crime
which he accused them of committing. He wrote then, just like his
brother hiding under the name Olisa Osita wrote today, as follows: It
is time for theIgbos to seek out people of philosphical like minds and
work with them in their own interest and in the interest of Nigeria. It
is time for Igbos to extricate themselves from second rate citizenship
mentality. It time for them to seek out their legitimate dues and do
away with crumbs. They should unbound themselves from the subjugating
chaims of amnesia and impeding walls of myopia. They
need to demonstrate courage and candour and apologise to the
surrounding minority groups for treating them with disdain and
disrespect. (Cf.
Remi Oyeyemi, “Of
Amnesia and Myopia: The Igbos in Nigerian Politcs” http://nigeriaworld.com/letters/2002/may/081.html,
Par.24) This shows you the race of men who are
essaying to exact an apology from Ndigbo. They would be disappointed.
Ndigbo will never apologise. This is the class in which Olisa finds a
home. I will resist the temption to answer to Oyeyemi’s nauseating and
sterile fulminations. Attending to it, will be like dignifying some
stinking feaces. But this proves to you that Olisa Osita is a
crosspollination of all the Igbophobic elements available. He is not a
person. He is a conglomeration of psychological complexes. And doing
battle with his perjorative prejudice is a task which we have
undertaken, and by jove we will take this battlefield to whatever
theatre this war against falsehood leads us.We shall never yield any
ground. Ndigbo shall conquer against all the falsehood actively being
perpetrated against them. They stood against the murderous armada of
concentrate hate for 30 solid months. They were not wiped out as their
detractors would have wished. So this time around, my heritage will
shine as stars for all eternity. We may be down now, but history must
remember that it took the Jews more than 2000 years of uncensored
persecution to rise to the prominence they enjoy today, and which by God
no nation will again deprive them. So with Ndigbo, they day we would
arise, no nation would dare take it away from us. Osita can go and bury
his head in his boiling hatred, as that cannot detract one bit from the
greatness of Ndigbo. On the last point he asked a question, which demands an answer: How are we going to look other tribes in the face and talk about morality, virtue and so. |
