Yours recent article pasted in Gamji web site and subsequent publishing in the Daily Trust Newspaper of 14th march, 2005 where you wasted so much time and energy defending government position in the appointment of Father Mathew Hassan Kukah.

The said article is not convincing and lacks any substance. It also proved Sheik Ja’afar Adam’s position of questioning your Islamic credentials.

With due respect sir, I have taken my time to revisit all your past articles and I have not found a place where you defend your acclaimed religion- Islam. Your position remains consistence with regards to the religion of Islam in Nigeria or at the International scene. I hope you are not one of the people that learn about Islam and being used by the Christian west to undermine Islam.

In one of the mails I sent to you, I demanded from you to tell me your Islamic sect so as to enable me know the type of person I am dealing with.  It is surprising that upon all the atrocities being committed against the Muslims in Nigeria from Lagos, Aba, Plateau, Shagamu, Kaduna, Tafawa Balewa you were unable to write a piece but you have ample time to defend the appointment of Father Kukah.  In recent years, one of the national dailies went to the extent of abusing our prophet and still you were silent on it but vocal about all Christian conference.

Going by your write-ups came to the conclusion that you spent so much time and energy to undermine Sharia and Islam. In fact you went all out to defend fornicators and adulterers just to rubbish Muslims and Islam.

Sir, you still cannot see anything wrong in the appointment of all christens to head our security outfit. Army, Navy, Air force, Custom, Immigration, NIA, SSS, Prison service etc. But on the contrary you have ample time and energy to defend the appointment of Kukah.

In your recent article, you made reference to previous administrations, but you got it all wrong. General Gowon and General Buhari’s administrations were military regimes that everybody know are not respecters of constitution. The present Obasanjo administration supposes to be democratic thus ensuring equity, equality and fairness so that no one can be marginalized.

Similarly, your argument on emergency rule in plateau state s shallow, as it does not aim at pleasing Muslims but his western and American gods directed him to do it. It is an order which he must carryout to the last. Again, was it not after thousands have being killed that the emergency was declared.

Back to the issue of Father Kukah, what to your understanding were the criteria used in selecting him? Religion, tribe, population, education or what? Father Kukah is from Kaduna state in the present north west geo-political zone, he is of UKULU tribe, in the ordinary language of democracy, how can somebody like him from the tribe that are not more than 6,000 in population be selected against Hausas that are more than 20,000,000 in that zone.

In conclusion, it is disheartening as well, when one consider your professional and academic background as lecturer, banker and economist to find less economic issues to discuss upon all the atrocities being committed against Nigerian state by Obasanjo, Okonjo and Soludo rather than defending the appointment of Father Kukah.

Let me close by thanking Mallam Kabiru Yusuf and Garba deen Mohammad for their courage and hope that they keep on with their good jobs. As for my senior colleague Sunusi Lamido, I have seen the truth in Mallam Ja’afar assertion in the month of Ramadan and I pray to God to guide us to the right path.

Thank you.
