The statement credited to the President of Nigeria Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo through one of the news media that the president’s farm makes an average of $250,000 a day calls for celebration and a thorough review. At the exchange rate of 138 Naira to a dollar the General must be making over 34.5 million Naira per day and with an average of five working days the farming is grossing 172.5million Naira a week, with 50 weeks of work excluding 2 weeks to clean up and maintain the farm the Ota farm must be grossing averagely 8.3 billion Naira in a year.

The above analysis makes the farm one of the most lucrative businesses in Africa. This writer will like to believe the staff of this farm must be one of the best paid in Africa. If not the reason cannot be money because the Boss just confirms the liquidity of cash ratio of the farm. This writer will also like to believe that the road leading to this farm is tarred, the staff of this company are enjoying lots of added benefits, housing, transportation, good medical facilities, and medical insurance, medication aid and medic-care for the families of the staff because money should not be the problem the Boss just confirms it.

With a lucrative investment that yields over 57 billion annual revenue, one will want to assume that this company is actively playing it’s social responsibilities in Ota community, the company I want to assume is giving scholarships to Ota indigenes, participation in community developments, schools and police of the community, this company is assumed to be actively involved in keeping Ota in the fore front of Nigeria economic advancement if not why? Money cannot be the problem because the Big Boss just said it. This company is equally assumed is paying its corporate tax on time, and also undertake lots of social and community program in Ogun state and Ota chamber of Commerce. If not. Why? Money cannot be the problem. The Big Boss just confirms it.

Only if the above expectations from the farm are what is going on then it will be the time to believe the statement of $250,000 a day otherwise it will be a cover up for so many things that yet to come. Nevertheless, one will like to commend the President on his newfound energy on fighting corruption. The arrest of the police Inspector General and his subsequent charge for stealing 22.7 billion Naira possibly the Police Budgets is pointer for a bright light at the end of the tunnel for Nigeria.

The termination of appointment of Mrs. Osomo (not a relation of Biodun Osomo in UK) is also a welcome development though the sacked Minister from the Federal Cabinet has embarrassed my friend in London who had not gained anything materially either by omission or commission infact he is considering suing Mrs. Osomo for making him guilty by name resemblance under a law that he is yet to identify hopefully he will find it. Mrs. Osomo was said to have shed tears when she was fired. This was a woman introduced to government by Papa Adekunle Ajasin and has managed to be involved in all government from Abacha to Obasanjo. So tears is not the solution count your blessing they say or count your Naira Madam

It is also amusing to note that the sacked former minister of Education Professor Osuiji had dropped his legal charged he filled against the Government for seeing him for exactly for what he was.  He was a black sheep in the Federal cabinet and disgrace to the academic world. Education minister who was supposed to be the emblem of future in terms of social and cultural values in which our children will be model after and a professor for that matter can stoop to that level to bribe his way out of budget imbroglio is nothing but a shame. Senator Wabara the former Senate President has no business being the senate any more all the Obasanjo praise strategies he is currently adopting should not be allowed at all He must be behind the bar.

It should a thing of joy if all criminals are treated equally. A man that stole 22.8 billion Nara meant for the Nigeria police force is not only a dirty man but ugly in mind and in thinking and must not only be handcuffed to court everyday but equally be brought to court in chain on all his legs because he had used his position to make life uncomfortable for those men and women who had elected to serve Nigeria as police men guiding us day and night with no ammunition while he opposed state and city police.

Finally, in one the articles by this writer early last year titled “This Police IG is Ignorant” because of his opposition to the formation of State and Cities police when he was asked by the Senate committee on police affairs if Nigeria was ripped for state and city police. Instead Tafa Balogun demanded more money would be the solution I believe we are all in the picture where the money went. Tafa deserves no mercy because he had non-for his country. A man who can divert the money meant for the security of Nigeria under the police is not only a thief but also an enemy of the country and he is a terrorist. (Apology to George Bush)

Tafa Balogun must be dismembered by the Nigeria bar Association as the practice in the civilized world. He must appear in court in chain and those chains must not only be on his hands

but must be on legs, neck and fat Tommy also.
