Is the European Union Another Empire of Evil?

Since the Rome Treaty of 1957, which created the foundation on which Europe stands today, there have been many mutations from the initial plans of the founders of the political body of the European continent.

Since then inter European economic exchanges which was one of the many paths to a peaceful Europe set up by the founders of the current political body has never been dropped. 

Today, besides political co-operation amongst European states, economic co-operation has remain high and it is in these two areas that the European Union has registered its greatest successes  

But above any other considerations, it is in the area of economic growth that the great European metamorphoses has been noticed. 

Europeans have transformed themselves from a warring epicentre that has exported it vices such as anti-Semitism, Racism, and Nazism to the whole World into a peaceful place striving in economic prosperity.

However, in this success, it should not be forgotten that, without the help of the Anglo-American World power Continental Europeans would not have been anything today. 

This is because war mongering is never an ingredient for economic prosperity but on the contrary, it is a recipe for chaos and a vehicle for poverty and economic dependency. 

It was on war mongering and sterile rivalries that Europe before the 50’s prospered in before the Anglo-American came in to put a full stop.

It also important to note that, without the extraordinary gifted British statesman, in the person of Winston Churchill, the Americans won’t even have bothered to come and spill their bloods in Europe during the Second World War as they are doing around the World today.

Nevertheless, the coming of the Americans to the rescue of Europe was not done just during the Second World War. 

They had come to the aid of Europe for the first time during the First World War and lost about 53313 men. 

However because of a powerful speech delivered by Woodrow Wilson, the US President at that time, in Congress before those great loses occurred, the American people accepted the sacrifice from the war as the ultimate.

Little did the Americans know that, their services would be solicited again to come and solve the same illness of the European continent: the rise of nationalism.

However, it seems though that Europe does not learn from its past. 

The current European Union that has evolved from a 6 member state Union to 15 states and then now to the current 25, since May 1^st 2004 and in May 2007, it will become a 27 member organisation is repeating the past mistakes.

Peaceful Construction

What is happening in Europe currently is a unitary process being carried out in stages and in a peaceful manner. 

That is why as already mentioned above, nobody can deny this continent its complete metamorphoses from its evils of the 18, and 19 and early 20 centuries.

It is also a sign that anywhere were there is peace and freedom; emancipation and growth will automatically follow.

Already the European Union is an economic area and the objective of the Union’s Member States is to transform their continent into the first economic World power by 2010, ahead the USA. 

To show that they are serious, they have even started to make some economic reforms in order to leap frog the economic miracles of the continent. 

However, the only hiccup in all these talks about European economic reforms are that, it has triple economic gears and the needed reforms has the speed of a snail. 

Europe has three Economic blocks or gears, one block, is growing Economically, the second is one has a stagnant growth because of heavy social systems, while the last gear was stunted by Socialist-Communist planned economic systems from Soviet Union. 

Nonetheless, this last block or gear whose growth have been stunted by long years of Soviet planned economy is learning fast and even over taking the second block.

Although to transform the European Continent into an economic PowerHouse remains an ambitious project, it is not a crime to dream and it shows the buoyancy of Europe.

Besides the plans of the European Union to become a world economic power, another thing that can not be disputed from the Europeans, is their extraordinary generosity. 

In fact, the European continent is globally the highest contributor in development and Humanitarian Aid around the world today.

Re-actualising the Past

Notwithstanding all these praise worthy records, Europe’s own natural demons are back full throttle, they are anti-Semitism, Racism, Nazism, and nationalism.

It is this last European illness: nationalism that will soon push the European Union to lift the Arms embargo against China. 

A country whose authorities slaughtered its own citizens who were peacefully manifesting their desire for freedom in 1989 in the blood infested Tianamen Square.

The changes in European policies in International affairs are not new in the World’s political History books.

When the Bolsheviks and their charismatic leader Lenin, overthrew the Tsars in Russia in 1917, they had lofty goals for the populace who had suffered in the hands of the Tsars.

However, the clique from Georgia who had promised to fight slavery and inequality instituted by the Tsars, and were therefore regarded as the saviours, quickly began diverting from their initial plans.

From all indications, just as the Georgian cliques and White Russians dominated the Soviet Union; it is the same way that the European Union is gradually transforming itself.

Presently, there are some specific countries that wants to dominate the European Union and that explains why, new entrants into the political body do not want to be dictated upon by Countries whose leadership in the World is doubtful.

The creation of the current expanded European political Union was at the initiative of Germany and France and as far as that is concern, there are no single doubts about it. 

Nevertheless, these two countries and their political leaders seem to be nursing a different project from what the founders wanted.

They often want to impose their wills on other minorities and smaller states that are legally equal within the status of the political body, the same way as Russia did within the Union of Soviet Socialists Republics.

The immediate consequences of Germany and France trying to impose themselves on smaller countries just as the Russians did with smaller Soviet Republics by centralising power in Moscow or now in Brussels will be that, their orders will not be accepted everlastingly by recipients. 

In additions, the European Union just like the USSR was in the past is bound to fall apart like a pack of cards.

But why should the European Union be regarded as the new Empire of Evil under construction? 

There are many reasons that makes the European Union to be regarded as an Empire of Evil and a war monger than a peaceful block in respect to the May 9^th    1950 declaration of Robert Schuman.

As the former Soviet Union, the European Union has now diverted from it initial path, which was created for the unity, peace, and prosperity of Europeans. 

The European Union has become a Union that wants to suppress and impose its own ideas on some specific group people the World over.

Furthermore the European Union led by France and Germany with opposing objectives have single handed decided to be the mouth piece of a certain so-called European philosophy, which is spoiling whatever judicious thing that might have been carried out by others.

The road to a Federal Europe

The first step in destroying Europe’s basic objective is the current move of creating a supra national Empire and the creation of a single currency currently used by 11 countries. 

Secondly, it is the setting up of parliaments in Strasbourg, Luxembourg, and Brussels, which are being run by nationally regurgitated politicians who do not even care to listen to the people.

The third step is that, they want nations to abandon their sovereignties to the European Union and their sovereignties will be administered by bureaucrats in Brussels who have only one thing in their mind, to become military powers in order to rivals of the United States of America. 

If Europeans and European countries do not open their eyes wide the new Constitution, which has been submitted for ratification around the continent, will sign their end. 

Because if it is ratified, Brussels will be where all decisions regarding Europeans daily lives will be decided. 

Already in most Countries 50-60% of national decisions and laws is taken from directives decided in Brussels and which are transferred into national parliamentary laws. 

It is also important to point out here that European laws or rules are supreme to national laws and rules, which in it self is very indicative of what is left of individual national sovereignties.

The European constitution that is currently dividing public opinion in Europe today was written under the supervision of Valery Giscard (1).

Moreover, contrary to what those who are in support of the new constitution are currently propagating; the new constitution submitted for referendum is advocating a federal Europe where the current countries will be mere provinces of Brussels.

If the construction of the European Union and it eventual transformation into a super-state was being done in a peacefully manner, it would have been a nice thing.  But it is not.

Like in the former Soviet Union, all those who were against the orders of Moscow or as now it is the case with the rules from Brussels, those independent minded individuals are tortured. 

Perhaps in Europe the disobedient ones are not tortured directly, but there are other means of torture used in Europe that are equally excruciating as it were in the Soviet Union.

Every one still have in mind the arrogant tantrums of Jacque Chirac against East European Countries that supported the Anglo-American Coalition against Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship in Iraq. 

It simply meant that, had Chirac had his way, he would have deported Eastern Europeans to a new European gulag, overseen by officials from France and Germany.

Another aspect that is dangerous with the European Union in its present dispensation is that, like the Soviet Union, it does not know it natural boundaries. 

A thing that makes people to start debating whether Europe is a concept or a continent with defined limits on which there exist people with a common History and cultural backgrounds.

With such debates on what Europe is all about, it seems that part of the trouble originates from the founders of the political body, called the European Union. 

It is claimed that, the founders of the political body of the European Continent believed that, a large mass could be transmitted and transformed into a strong world power. 

Hence, in their lust for power, they felt that, admitting anybody who came knocking would give birth to large a setting, which will eventually be transformed into a Military force.

Destroying other Blocks

However, the problem with accepting everybody who comes knocking is that, European countries that want to join the political body are given all sorts of conditions to meet. 

Meanwhile, the Union is proposing special status to African countries such as Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and even Mauritania. 

The only links binding these countries with Europe are their colonial past with France. 

In other words, the European Union wants to destroy the African Union, because it sees it as a Union that might in the future also want to become a power: Economically and Militarily as they are today. 

It also explain why some European member countries, particularly France, have been working around the clock to destroy any African initiative. 

The ECOMOG (2) operations in Liberia and Sierra Leon are cases in point where France used French-speaking African countries, precisely Burkina-Faso and Ivory Coast to throw monkey wrenches in the Peace keeping work of Nigeria.

The people in Brussels can not deceive any one that they want to see a strong Africa Union if they are signing political treaties with different geopolitical groups on the continent. 

Currently they have signed a treaty with what is called the Maghreb Arab Union; a North West African political body and they are planning to sign similar piecemeal deals with SADC (3) and ECOWAS (4).

In normal circumstances, they would have done a direct deal with the African Union in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which is the alter ego of Brussels, a deal or co-operation that will cover the whole continent.

The irony in all this European wanton expansion and destruction of other political organisations is that, Turkey, which it is true is not European, but Middle Eastern and for that reason it is denied membership and all sorts of hurdles are put on her track toward membership. 

Nevertheless, Turkey has a long history with continental Europe in more strategic matters than most North African countries do. 

However, Brussels is racing to offer all sorts of incentives to these countries just to make sure the African Union is weaken and destroyed. 

If the European Union were a conscious body, they would have been trying to help Turkey more than disperse their scare resources toward North West African countries. 

Especially that, their co-operation is not conditioned with greater demands for Democratic values and its implementation by the dictatorships that prosper in that part of Africa.

Furthermore, while Turkey is not a European country, its people however are more inclined and claim to be European than North Africans.

In addition, Turkish political leaders are doing all in their powers to meet up with European standards of human rights and real democracy.

Whereas in North Africa none of the above is being implemented by its political governing elite, yet they are pampered.

Refusing its Past and resorting to Arms

What is frightening with the European Union is their obsession to create a pagan super-state with love for Arms, while the whole world wants to get rid of weapons of Mass destruction.

Not long ago they marched in large numbers against the war in Iraq and against the Anglo-American militarisations to the extent that, it becomes very strange to see the same Union wanting to do just what it stood up against.

The conduct of the European Union is similar to that of the former Soviet Union, it is such a phoney place now, full of contradictory politicians and citizens.

At the time that the Soviet Union was under construction, its leaders refused to recognise God and even persecuted Christians and other religious groups.

While the European Union has a seemingly open and tolerant posture toward religion, it recently refused to mention the name of God in its Constitution that is yet to be ratified by the 25 member states. 

Recently a European Union commissioner lost his job because he wanted to identify himself as Christian in respect to his faith hold-up its values, that single action speaks volumes about the European Union.

Like the former Soviet Union, most leaders of the European Union wants to arm the Union to be at par with the United States Militarily which is not necessary. 

This is because such a move will be denying investments in other vital areas in which Europe is behind.  In addition, resorting to massive arms race today will help spread terror around the world and keep dictators in power.

The Soviet Union had the right to arm itself because they were protecting themselves from the United States.  But today there is no rationale for the European Union to start an arms race when the United States and the United Kingdom are protecting them.

The European Union is also developing strong love for dictatorships around the World.  She is even helping and sponsoring Pariah States such as Cuba, North Korea, Iran, and Cuba.

She is also supporting other dictatorships such as those of Robert Gabriel Mugabe in Zimbabwe, Paul Biya in Cameroon, Omar Bongo in Gabon. 

The next ones are Omar El Bashir in Sudan, Sidi Ahmed Ould Taya in Mauritania, Ben Ali in Tunisia, Theodoro Obiang Ngema in Equatorial Guinea, and Eduodo Dos Santos in Angola etc.

In addition, the most dangerous thing in all is the willingness and desire of the European Union to force Independent nations to abandon their sovereignties and also interfering into the daily lives of people, just as it was the case with the former Soviet Union.

Hence, it is of no wonder that, most countries from Eastern Europe are not so excited about living the Warsaw pact to jump into another terrifying block that will want to direct their lives.

However, they are massively joining the European Union.  Nevertheless, they will keep their sovereign right to have a free hand to do as they feel, especially on matters that concerns their countries securities and not the clumsy interest of two domineering countries within the European Union.

The fact that, the European Union wants to absorb North Africa is a bad thing with some good linings though, because some sub Saharan countries will have the status of associate countries. 

The only fear is that, Morocco that is occupying another African country, that is call Western Sahara will not change but plunge more into dictatorship as most North African countries and the rest of the African continent. 

Above all a federal strong centralised Europe will never be a good thing for Africa in its constructive phase.

Out of Touch with the People

The European Continent has the trappings of an Empire of Evil.  A proof are the succession of treaties that it has signed and that has little or no concern for the people its plans to govern. 

A look at the Masstrich treaty with its words such as subsidiarity and proportionality or give a glance at the Amsterdam treaty with its concept of “thriptic” which was enunciated by Charles De Gaulle, tells you how elitist the Union is. 

Do ordinary Europeans understand all the terms produced by Brussels and the merry go round of treaties that they sign?

In addition, the most melodramatic in all the European treaties was the Nice Treaty of December 2000, which was characterised by a dogfight for the maintenance of privileges of individual member states. 

In spite everything, the much decried “Nice treaty of 2000” preserve though the sovereignty of European countries.

What is frightening are the methods used currently within the Union in its process of the ratification of the new European treaty, all those who are against which is a democratic right are vilified, denied airspace in media while those who are in support are given privileges.

Already without even the out come on the ratification, France and Germany who are the self designated class prefects of Europe have warned that in case the new European Constitution whose ratification started in Spain do fail, they will go their own ways. 

Is that a good sign?  Is that not reminiscent to instructions from the Polite-bureau of the Supreme Soviet that were always full of threats?

All these are proves that the European Union is an Empire of Evil under construction.
