Periscoping Gbenga Obasanjo

Like any normal human being, we constantly use our brain to justify or otherwise our action(s), without any prejudice I believe this stand is true for anybody in his right focus. I am the type that stick very much to what I see glaring, I use my sense of ration and I understand as a Muslim my religion enjoin me to be rational, respect the innocence of everybody until you have reasons to doubt him/her.

Since the advent of this administration of Obasanjo, I have not for once had or will ever believe in Obasanjo’s ability to sail us through the rough waters of the 21^st century. He has for the pass 6 years proof me right in all endeavors of his governance, today nobody in this country will dispute that corruption has reach the highest it has ever reach under Obasanjo. Today, you don’t need to be the sibling of Obasanjo to do what you want, even the extend of taking people lives, you just need to be from one geographical area and that is all, a practical example is Ganiu Adams…..I don’t need to repeat the list as every Nigerian know what I am trying to say.

Flipping through my favorite weekly paper this week “Leadership” as usual, my attention was drawn to the above caption written by one of the respected writers of the paper, Mr. Uche Ezechukwu in his column CAPITAL MATTERS, as I always maintain everybody has right to his own opinion, Mr. Ezechukwu can decide to like, believe and adore Gbenga Obasanjo, that is his right and no one can take it away, but he should not try to impose by all means his views on his readers, and even to the extend of insulting us in his desire and quest to prove his point. Mr. Uche might wish to know that it is we the ‘ordinary men on the street’ who according to him is un-serious and not informed, that is keeping him above board by buying his paper, If we should stop, he should be rest assured that he will join us on the street in no time, here him “……..such story is not usually meant for the serious and informed minds, but rather the ordinary person…” emphasis mine.

In the article Mr. Uche use so much of his Igbo proverbs, in arriving at the point that Gbenga is a Saint not the Demon we the ‘ordinary ones’ on the street want to believe, so, I guess if I use my proverbs I will be pardon as well, it’s a Fulfude proverb ”Lelwa diwata biyum lada” when loosely translated it means; The antelope can not run jumping and its offspring crawl. So, its just not possible for Mr. Uche to tell us that with all the atrocities Obasanjo is carrying out in the country, Gbenga do not use his name to influence anything to his advantage, that Obasanjo will not condone that action?. Haba Mr. Uche don’t be childish, what do you mean by …”It is impossible for Gbenga to even attempt using his father’s name for business”, do you mean to tell me he does not go about introducing himself as the son of the President, or you mean to tell me he do not get choice contracts in the government, how many of the contracts he has handled so far, indeed follow the due processes, well as much as you and your source want us to believe, we also have our sources that say to the contrary. We all know the number of contracts he and his step mother have executed during the COJA, or do you think we forgot about the bed’s contract he carry out during COJA?. In fact today, nobody in Obasanjo cabinet, elected or otherwise will have the guts to turn down Gbenga’s proposal, for they all know Obasanjo is very vindictive, this one you, like any other Nigerian do know.

Obasanjo and his thousand cronies in Aso, do not strike any Nigerian as the principled men you try to create, so his wife and children gets all sort of favour with his full knowledge, do you think Obasanjo do not know what happen at COJA or the housing saga, if Obasanjo were the man you want to portray, then he would have ordered the immediate arrest of Stella. Another of the absurd in the article is “…. Gbenga decided to go back to Lagos as he had not prepared to and could, therefore, not afford to stay in Abuja….” Anybody reading this knows is nothing but fabrications, and desperate attempt to convince the un-convincible… who among his many fathers boot lickers, assuming Gbenga is broke and can not afford to pay hotel and Obasanjo, may be is out of the country as usual, that do not have guest houses in Abuja or rooms permanently reserved for them in choice hotels in Abuja, and will be more than ready to give Gbenga to stay as long as he need on just a single phone call, if we believe you that Gbenga and Obasanjo do not have a single guest house in Abuja or Gbenga can not afford to pay for hotel for a couple of nights then we all need to have our heads examined, or who among the Ministers, Directors and Perm. Sec, will hesitate to give Gbenga any of the Federal guest houses that are littered all over the Federal Capital…..

My source, told me Gbenga himself have guest houses in FCT that is occupied by his girls and every weekend he spend it in Abuja, partying, and making merry, that is if he is not in UK ‘scatting’, agreed he may not own houses in UK, but that does not prove that he did not have an account oversee, why not his Saint Father (Saint Obasanjo????) as you want us to believe, force or even beg the foreign banks to release the list of all Nigerians that have accounts with their banks?, if during all his useless foreign trips he have been including the begging of the list we would have, have the list by now. Please I am not accusing you of anything Mr. Uche, but in your hearts of hearts, do you really believe in all that you wrote in that column, do you please believe that Gbenga, his father and step mother do not have foreign accounts???… it may not be as fat as that of Balugun the thief, or even his step mother, but am sure Gbenga has an account over sea.

Mr. Uche, I will advice you to wait until when Gbenga’s father is not hear in Aso and he (Gbenga) did not find himself as guest in any one the numerous dungeons, his father is building today…. then we can shout Halilujah and you can then call him Saint Gbenga ….. To me I know and I strongly have no doubt that the only thing that will save Gbenga, his step mother, his siblings and the father himself from prison is a Life Presidency for Mr. Obasanjo, and if you believe its possible for OBJ to be life president of this country, then you can as well believe Gbenga will not be in prisons for all that he is committing now.

Though, you said there were some parts of the story, given to you by your source which you did not believe, hope then its right for me to think that the ones you publish are the ones you believed, well God save you if you believe this crap, I wish I will hear the ones you did not believe….. very funny but I think you’ve fallen to their trap.

Mr. Uche please next time you want to write, why not give us some of the proofs you have, nobody is asking you to disclose your source though. By God I respect you Mr, Uche, I love your write ups, but continue in this manner, then you may count me out as one of your reader.
