Recently it was reported by some Nigerian dailies that the former US ambassador to Nigeria Dr. Princeton Lyman has said that Al-Qaida has now shifted base to Nigeria. And already so much theory have been advanced by different writers and public commentators in the country as to why America is targeting Nigeria and what we the citizens in the country should do in order to let America know that we have no terrorist bases in the country and by extension avert the possible storming of Nigeria by the Americans marines.

It is a common knowledge that neither Al-Qaida nor its bases is existent in Nigeria, it is also a fore understanding that Nigeria is among the very few countries in the world that is extremely wealthy and blessed with almost all the natural resources, yet its citizens are literally leaving in hell, this everybody know as a fact beyond doubt, we should also not forget that in Nigeria roughly we have about 95million people leaving below poverty line and surviving on less than a dollar per day, we also have the most porous border in the world, so you will agree with me, these alone will make the Americans believe that the country is an ideal ground for Al-qaida. Having being chase away from Asia and the Middle East.

A lot of the commentators proffer advice to the government and its citizen on how to avert the repeat of Iraq, in fact some when as far as comparing Nigeria with Iraq, they say Nigeria have a large oil reserve, we also have a very large number of Muslims, millions of Nigerians are Muslims and therefore according to them, these two reasons is enough to make Nigeria a prime target for America in furtherance of its crusade against Islam and getting its hands on the oils reserve of the country.

Personally, I do not want to go into why and why not America give countries its arrows or the olive branch, but one thing I know is Nigeria when attack by Americans for any reason will not be like Iraq in any way possible, in Iraq the Americans marines receive a hostile reception while in Nigeria they will be received with flowers. Unlike Iraq, in Nigeria if attacked by the Americans, Nigerians will be very happy, so happy, to the extend that they will come out jubilating on the streets. There won’t be neither the Al-zarqawis of the Iraq’s, nor the Muqtada Al-Sadr, but happy scenes of happy people all over the country.

I might sound unpatriotic to many of my readers, but believe me I am just being a realist, assuming today Nigeria is attacked from all angle by the Americans, how many hours to do you think it will take the Americans marines and Generals to take over Aso, imagine the joy and ecstasy of seeing our Police and Soldiers being chased away by the Americans and running for their miserable lives, for a change we will witness the soldiers and police that specialized with flying colors the act of butting and killing us during elections or at the slightest opportunity being chased by the young American marines, imagine the joy of having to play cards with the pictures of our today’s leaders who are nothing but terror to us as wanted by the Americans. Imagine the joy of seeing those thieves today running and hiding like rats, imagine the joy of seeing them wanted by the Americans and for a change they can not run away to foreign lands, like they normally do, when they orchestrate civil unrest and the country is boiling. This time around the country will be boiling, they are wanted death or alive and yet they can not escape to overseas. Now tell me who among the Nigerian poor will fight against these joys and happiness, could such thing happen the poor man will be the happiest in the world.

You see what I am trying to emphasize here is that Nigerians have no reason to fight for this country or let me put it this way for this government, as the Iraqis do. Assuming the American for any reason will take over this country, what worse thing will the Americans do to us that Obasanjo and his men in the government have not done ten fold, is it that they will steal our oil?, I guess the people of the Niger Delta will tell you that it’s exactly what is happening now, or is it that the Americans will go about killing us?, well is it not what our Police men and soldiers do all the time at check points, during elections and at the slightest opportunity?, so nothing will make anybody fight the Americans, because when they come it will be to liberate us and nothing more, another thing I know is they will not stop any of us going about our religious duty, since their main target will be the oil, then we have no problem, they can take as much as they want and I am sure things will not go worst than what we have now, who knows may be they will improve local supplies, and build more refineries ‘sef’!, they will also stem the tide of corruption, and the syndrome of who you know will be relegated to the background rather what you know that will matter most. Already, the Nigerian masses are nothing but second class citizens in their country, so what more will the American if they arrive will do?

In fact if the Americans attempt to take over Nigeria, they will do it will minimal ease for they will not encounter any resistance from our mediocre security forces, and the citizens will welcome them like liberators, the very few Nigerians that will be killed will be more than happy to be killed by the American’s than by the Nigerian security operatives. Personally given the choice I will choose to die in the hands of the Americans, because I am sure if killed by the Americans my family will be compensated, unlike when killed by some trigger happy drunk Nigerian Police or soldier. After your death if your family should demand compensation they will be lock up, humiliated and even be accuse of criminal behaviour, above all you will be killed by an ignorant, drunk man with a bullet that has expired chemicals inside, but when killed by the Americans at least you will die from the latest bullet available. I wish the Americans will come we have the oil and it will be very cheap for them to take over us, they will be surprise how we will receive them. I guess we are more than ripe for the arrows of the Americans.

Finally I urge all the papers carrying those stories to please conduct polls of who is ready to die for this government ,Obsanjo/Atiku and who is ready to die for Nigeria and see the results.
