When Servant Beats Master: Obj & Atiku, A Case Of Adultery

Just days ago the President and his No. 2 were in a public show of affection, calling the over 120 million Nigerians (pending the census) ‘big fools’. The duo used the opportunity of the visiting Prime Minister of Sao – Tome and Principe, to deceive Nigerians.

No matter how annoyed a servant is, he cannot beat his master. In the last week or so, the feud between both men has dominated the burner of nation’s discuss. It is a pity that in the light of increasing prices of food, transport, accommodation and dropping standards of living. The two men that showed activity bringing succor to Nigerians are at each other throat.

Atiku, the servant, I am not necessarily an admirer of the man, but I have my soft spots for him, in the light of the metrics of 2007. No matter the sins of the servant, he is still human and deserves by virtue of human dignity – human treatment. Atiku Abubakar like any other Nigerian has the right and deservedly too – to contest the 2007 election. He has been part of the government, irrespective of the failures. This places him in a more positive light to understand the issues at stake.

Placing 1000 internet postings of his house’s tax bill and how to get to the house is far from the issue of the Vice President. Labeling him as corrupt is not the matter, because I do not think in that light, he is alone.

With the allegation of disloyalty leveled against the VP now. It is safe to conclude that apart from the 2002 PDP primaries, he had been loyal until now albeit.

A safe statement of swearing an oath is no case for the President to publicly dishonor his No. 2 man. Taking a cue from the South African experience, Thabo Mbeki was careful in both words and action.

The matter we have at hand clearly shows us that, there is more to it.

The master, Obj, for once I will safely say I hate my President, knowing fully well the consequences of hating someone. (I am certain it’s no criminal offence to hate someone). How uncouth could one be than Obj? What has this man who is gradually putting on the toga of god not done and said wrong?

Whatever it is, the servant did in 2002, it was a right he exercised – to gamble, to take or make decisions based on the permutations and calculations prevalent at that time. The master would have done same. One cannot forget when Obj once asked a fellow General, what he forgot at the state House. Years later Obj had not only swallowed his vomit but equally is now enjoying, to the point if care is not taken he will purge.

I wonder sometimes how our President talks like, he is having a conversation with fowls in his Ota farms.

In one month, he says he never swears, in the same sweep, he says he brought the Bible and the Koran for himself and Atiku to swear. What was baba doing with the Koran, (he bought it from the Aso Rock bookshop) meaning he already was prepared for the ‘swear meeting’ between his vice.

In 2005! In the 21st century a President tells the electorate that, because of proven case of doubtful loyalty, he brought the Bible and Koran to resolve the matter. Very laughable stuff.

Till date the master has avoided the question – Have you started parking your load? Instead he keeps changing his lines telling one story after the other. First, it was in Germany, “Some people are pressurizing me”. Like they did after you left prison. (I tell Nigerians they made a mistake when they allowed the power brokers impose an ex on them). Then next it was the private sector, today the National Assembly is divided, and party leaders are singing discordant tones.

What has Obj not done – he has increased fuel and openly without a sense of shame of failure, said the increase was inevitable. When people say Obj is not been fairly criticized, I mockingly smile.

I see no reason why a master should not be happy that the servant is about to take over the shop. The servant deserves freedom after service to the master. But like the typical bad master he is looking for a spot to deny the servant freedom.

Nigerians can talk nonsense. “That Obj does not trust Atiku, let me ask a candid question. Does Atiku owe Obj trust in the light of his ambition?

Does the electorate/voters stand a chance, when some big buffoons open their mouth to say that Obj would pick his successor? That being the case, he should just pick Stella (his wife) and that’s all, no need for elections.

Obj has accused Atiku of being corrupt, being the one sabotaging his anti and uncle corruption strides. Lies, lies, lies! Tell that to the birds, apart from the rumoured facts, 60% of corruption, in the country occurs in the Presidency, not office of the VP. Whether the President collects his salary and estacodes or not is inconsequential at least his farm brings in millions per month.

The Ministry of Petroleum has in the last six years been ministry of corruption under headmaster leadership. What has that ministry contributed to the Nigeria cause? When Atiku voiced out against one of the fuel increase, it was termed doubtful loyalty.

If the FBI has decided to start searching houses of serving high government officials of Nigeria. Let them know like Warri man will say “dem go search tire”. Because over 1000 politicians have high profile properties in the U.S.A that require such search.

For those glorying in that so-called search, it’s a shame not to Atiku, but to Obj’s government. Why? Can the Nigerian S.S.S search the American Embassy? “Dem Wan Try”, “Dem can’t fit”. Yet they thinks (the anti-Atikus) they have scored a point. Shame

A ridiculous question I want to ask at this point is, Obj, why are you afraid of Atiku. The President has succeeded in running a nation without or a silent opposition. He should go back to history and learn, the day a servant revolts, and for the right reasons too, others under the bondage and shackles of the master will join the servant.

A case of adultery, the senate, the party PDP, the you thief I thief conglomeration of politheives are sleeping with anyone and everyone in sight. Always never loosing sight of such avenues of remaining relevant maverick noisemaker Arthur Nzeribe has already started catching in, calling for a senate probe. Fuel price has “shot up”, to really understand that phrase, a bottle of coca-cola now sells for N40, an increase of 75% yet no probe , but because of one selfish ol’man the lazy men want to go a probing.

What more could be a shock, than a President telling the few who could afford a television and had electricity to see their President say, his Vice had a dimming memory because of time lapse, laughable, with such a statement, its sad that my president has not raised alarm that his VP was suffering Alzheimer.

The President is taking the Nigerian case too far, and heating up the same polity he claims he has swore to keep calm (that’s if he swore, as he does not swear. He simply gives his word!).

A case of adultery, everyone seems to be talking again. We hear plans of another party being floated by aggrieved PDP party members although the people involved have stated they won’t go down without a fight. We are watching. Already the President’s prostitutes are working to make sure the PDP convention is shifted.

Like someone said, Obj may be an officer but he is not a gentleman, Atiku has the structure. While Obj has said he ‘possibly’ swore to uphold the constitution, we are told that the same constitution is amendable and amending it is a task that is doable by the Mantu-led Constitution Review Committee.

With the Remi Oyolies, Fani Lieyodes, Prof.Ganadeception and co. (apologies) the adultery business is good business.

What has baba done to his girlfriend Ali Ahmadu, doctor, senator and retired Colonel who has done exactly the opposite of Baba’s anti graft message, off course it is one of these family affairs.

The whores in the marriage of gangsters called PDP are all blaming the servant. Some are even justifying the master’s reaction, that Atiku should have learnt from Audu Ogbeh’s case that the President does not like criticism…Oh save us! Is the president a god?

I once held the view that Ojo Madueke was someone who would bring a little respect to the PDP party system but he has started goofing, like they all do. What was controversial about Atiku’s statement? What ever happened to freedom of speech?

Each time anyone gets on the President’s path the person gets crushed, then we talk of democracy. Recently the PDP chairman threatened he would sack any PDP governor that misbehaved. I hope the chairman can sack the President now that he is behaving.

When the master misbehaves the servant should hit him, if Atiku surely wants to vie for 2007, he should eat it, sleep it, wake it fight it and win it. Let him remember that all it took for Audu Ogbeh to fall was a meal of pounded yam, the public appearance he had with his master laced with e kabo meaning welcome in Yoruba could also be o daboo meaning bye-bye. May Almighty Allah help us.
