Permit me to extend my special good will message, sir, I choose this moment at this material time to add some few words in commemorating with you in this year’s birthday. Something I detest to develop interest in (birthday), this may not be unconnected with my religious inclination and my social background. But from Philosophical point of view, the term can also mean human development in reverse gear, but could only be understood by the blessed few.

It would interest you to know the person extending this good will message is an ordinary Nigerian with no partisan inclination to a system that majority of the so called Nigerian Democrat believe it could take us to a promise land. It is my prayer; you would as usual have the audacity to develop a thick skin so as to enables you read this humble piece with an open mind, since from the word of Mahmud Abdullahi’s sponsored write up “you trained your mind to read extensively” (emphasis mine).

Since, according to your special assistant message to those who could afford to read or were blessed to be educated despite all odds to glance at his paid advertorials, you supposed to mark your birthday “quietly”, it is my humble prayer, you will have time to reflect on Allah’s bounties and favors on you‼ Initially, if Allah so wishes, your life might have been terminated prematurely at nudfa, alaqa or mudga stage, or you either be allowed to come to this material world inform of a hermaphrodite, conjoined or a full blown human being with moronic tendencies. His Excellency, it is part of this favor, that he has enriches you to be a member of the community of believers in Islamic monotheism, a status that has no direct bearing with someone’s intellectual prowess, background, material acquisition, or status in the society. Ad infinitum, you were also guided by His special mercy to enroll in to school that ultimate ly pave your way of becoming a president in the most populous so called giant of Africa, leaving behind most of your far and near peers without furthering their education beyond primary level. This may be due to family background, economics, and academic or health factor.

Have you ever reflect that not all presidents in this world have the opportunity to reside over the affairs of their countries to the tune of eight years? Others became presidents but were disgraced, chased or overthrown ‼ Some died in mysterious circumstances. History abound on some past leaders who either resigned or stepped aside but could not even be residents of their country talk less of their ancestral home. Allah in his infinite mercy made thing easy and possible for you to reside in your home country and even made your hilltop a Mecca of sort. Not only a centre of beehive activities but endowed you with charming personality, an enigma for that matter with effacing mien and good human relation that prompted one writer to passed a fatwa that whosoever want hate IBB shall avoid him.

Having painstakingly taken you in to this spiritual reminder, I would like to draw your attention on the need to be a little bit extra careful with this life, more especially at this very material time where by whosoever want remain or became relevant politically or other wise is looking towards you to fixed the end, just like the modern day HERMAN RADNITZ (apology to james Hardley Chase) that is why every newspaper or magazine you open is full of your pictures with beautiful adjectives.

In reality, this eulogies and encomiums is nothing besides a machination to hypnotize you by either act of commission or omission to declare your intention to run for the much coveted office. I want you to find time to consider my appeal to you with regards to this retinue of personalities who decided to use taxpayers’ money to congratulate you in order to receive your attention which is only beneficial to them and to their families. Haven’t you realize if each one of those sycophants could have decided to randomly take that money used for advertorial; is it not enough to pay a scholarship to our students? Has it ever occurred to you that hardly could you count more than five people among your prominent palace courtiers and those that form your campaign vanguards that acquired their wealth legitimately through a hard earned honorable ways?

His Excellency with or with out their coercion, that is to say whenever you decide to join partisan politics, I want you to reconsider this few lines of advice from me, thus: At 64 what will remains for you is nothing better than to assemble some structures that will draw you closer to your lord, for instance to engages yourself in running orphanages schools, skills acquisition centers, scholarship just to mention but a few.

Remember there come a time where by palace courtiers, mansionate, off springs will be of no use unless when they respond to the commandment of our Lord according to its dictates. You are a leaving witness on how things are deteriorating in this country from bad to worse. Now a days qualitative education remains to be a privilege to the lucky few sons and daughters of elite, at this material time standard of education is no longer falling but has completely crashed. Electricity which in due times Ghana will celebrate two years’ of uninterrupted power supply remains still a dream in Nigeria, in fact the definition given by Adamu Adamu in his definition of humor exactly depict NEPA in Toto, that is to say National Embarrassment and Public Annoyance (NEPA).the economic gap is every now and then widening where by poor are becoming poorer and rich are becoming richer. People are now sleeping with one eye for fear of lynching by either the power that be, frustrated poo r Nigerians or provocation by leaders of political merchant dice who are ready to tell the king the beautiful dress he wore while in reality the king is naked.

All these pandemonium may not be unconnected with regards to misrule and deviation of principle of good governance that you and your cronies perpetrated to this country. Wasn’t during your period we witnessed the massive devaluation of national currency, collapse of governmental due process and credibility, huge disparities in income distribution, sale of national assets to a vulgar emergent class, destruction of the economy’s manufacturing base and decimation of the progressive middle class?..

It is a non disputable fact, we have a situation in which the moral fiber of the society is at stake and it appears nobody is interested in correcting the anomalies.

It is against this background that I strongly advise you to think and think over and over again on the implication of navigating in to partisan politics. Your mind might suggest to you that since there were mistakes, it is then a high time to redress the anomalies. If then what I fore cast happens to be a true situation of your inner self then consider the following exhortation. The most honorable things for you is to concentrate on how you could give account to Allah on your stewardship and how you acquired every nickel at your possession.

As a Muslim, I believe you are aware on the tradition that report our noble prophet encounter with his disciple, let me paraphrase the encounter: “Do you know who the pauper is?The companions replied the pauper is a person who had no money and no property. The prophet explained the point: A pauper from my ummah (followers) is one who will come on the Day of judgement with a good record of salat, siyam and Zakat, but he has abused someone, usurped the good of someone, shed blood of someone and has beaten someone. Then the good deeds of the oppressor will be given to the oppressed one accordingly. If the good deeds are exhausted (come to an end ) before -paying his dues, then the sins and fault of oppressed persons will be taken from them and transfered to the oppressor and then he will be thrown in to the fire. (Muslim)

Ad infinitum, it is also my sincere prayer that you will have time to read for your self a story of one man called Kirkiratu who illegitimately diverted a blanket during a war before distribution, whom our noble prophet stated with this singular act, he was doomed to be in hell‼

Hence, His Excellency, it is now up to you to choose in between the devil and deep blue sea.

Lastly but by no means, to those who will send in their rejoinders, you are welcome, mine is to advise and is left for him to decide. Since media remains my only option to communicate to you. And for those that will accuse me of bad English, I believe it is not my doing, if leaders like His Excellency had bequeathed  good legacy for sound and qualitative education, I wouldn’t find myself in this mess that some of you might have complain in order to win an argument. chikenan‼ I rest my case.
