The Recent PDP Conventional Confusion: Our Politicians, They, Themselves And Them

By

Jos, Plateau Nigeria.

Since a Politician never believes what he says, he is always astonished when others do; these are the words of the great Charles de Gaulle. It is about the most appropriate word on marble that I could pick for this monogram. The forlorn face of Solomon Lar at the PDP national confusion at Abuja last week said at all, that if something is not done fast this nation is fast on a motion to nowhere. Let me like use the piecemeal style. Because sometimes writing on the issues of Nigeria as it affects Nigeria has become a serious matter that only brings pain to the hand that writes or typewrites.

The Oyo State Deputy Governor was beaten like a common criminal despite the security presence at the Eagle Square on the authority of the Ibadan political illiterate and warlord politician Lamidi Adedibu, the man had rode into the Eagle square venue of the confusion on a white horse. Both Ngige and Alamieyesigha were shown the door, because one made to much noise…was not willing to share the bounty of rigging with his god father while the other was too vocal in his stealing he messed up, he went a fooling daring the wounded tiger by the teeth. While the evil days for the Joshua of Plateau were extended as his suspension was left at status quo. Ibeji…the twin thieves of Nige r Delta, Lucky and Ibori as usual played their game of notice us to they, themselves and them.

Chris Uba on the other hand was formally welcomed with dancing, his posters were visible everywhere, he was pardoned for showing “enough remorse” his namesake and godson Chris Ngige could not muster “enough remorse”. The confusion was understandably silent on the “third term” at least the 2007 poster war at the venue was that of hope that there might be a (s)election after all. Although I insist that if the heads on those posters are what the nation has to after, the present mistake can well continue, because the faces on those posters themselves are error.

The earlier so-called Declaration of Principles, which was presented as a vote of confidence, was one of disjointed and meaningless statement as Muhammed Jimeta puts it. It was with fixed emotion that one noticed the absence of Audu Ogbeh, who had made enough money he did not need to come. I could not ascertain when Ngozi wahala and female Obasanjo Oby Ekwesili became PDP, but the wearing of the PDP ashoebi was more nauseating than their presence that, could be defended as moral support for Baba Sege especially now that he is officially wifeless

Piecemeal, Tom Ikimi had said at the MDD World Press Conference said and off record too while joking with the pen boys seriously  that, “Ojo Madueke came to me in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and brought me articles he had written in praises of Abacha I gave him cash tips for him leave my office in peace”.

Piecemeal, Audu Ogbeh “the last time I heard of him ( Ojo Madueke) was at the two million-man march. Is he still around?” Jimeta had his own bite at Ojo Madu “keke” (bicycle) we were in Abacha regime together.

These are exchanges between those that are supposed to be the brain behind dismantling the PDP, but with this the question is who is safe, when we all are led by crooks Everything PDP, past, present and future is they, themselves and them, be it via MDD or MRD,

I am yet to hear Audu Ogbeh’s response to the fact that Obasanjo stated in their letter war “he was a poor man… he should not worry he “II never be poor again” (paraphrased). One is forced to say that those monies that Audu acquired is responsible for the noise of MDD and the likes.

Less I drift from the point, the deviation I made was because these men are all PDP in blood and until Nigerians are ready to wash itself they, themselves and them. The Jamboree like the just concluded confusion would continue.

The same party refused to suspend Dariye due to a subsisting court order restraining the PDP from doing so, yet it still disobeyed a court order by adopting an affirmative convention.

Piecemeal, when the PDP head boy Ali mounted the podium after all his English not even a single ovation, PDP! People Dat are Pretending, as it was time for the President to come a nd confuse the masses, Bode George with his Orisa Lagos Eyo hate was tailing the President like a puppy to the bitch, and when the President started the usual lies the PDP South-West National Deputy Chairman kept nodding his head in a sycophantic Agama lizard fashion even when Obasanjo called him a “bastard” he nodded.

The President called PDP a reformed democratic, disciplined, and people oriented party, what more can be a lie if this is not a lie, in his speech the President thank the founding fathers of the party who were nowhere to be found at the Eagle Square venue of the convention. I have said it on many occasions the President’s speechwriter is either so good at fabrication or possibly not a Nigerian. If not how does one actualise a statement in the speech that “PDP has united Nigerians…replaced fear with hope uncertainty with confidence…despondency with dedication and purpose”. It claimed the PDP had created new paths and opportunities for dialogue…engendered a new morality and spirituality anchored on a faith in the new Nigeria”.

A t this point I had started to vomit, and I hope in reproducing those phrases I have not annoyed anyone one to breaking point. Even Thomas Jefferson or George Washington both American Presidents could not have had a better speech to deliver in their time. For once I felt I was a suicide bomber that, definitely would have been the most appropriate venue to die for love of country. So much talk of the President’s anti and uncle corruption drive it was a tragedy to still see Blue white Blue bags popular as Ghana must go, of money moving suspiciously even in the hot afternoon presence of the President.

It was so interesting to hear ovations, and claps from old foolish men and these days women as the President displayed gross foolishness by lying truthfully, even some of those that were clapping did not believe they, themselves and them. When indeed it took last minute peace or Pharisees meeting between the President, Ahmadu Ali on one side and the Governors for them to show face at the confusion venue.

Should one be shocked, No! In Nigeria anything not only can happen but also does happen. The point is that between 1999 and date political awareness has grown, but the awareness is one, political action is another. Nigerians know the truth but should act, if not our nation is in the threshold of a bleak future. Its funny how we seem to always survive it, how we wriggle our way out when all hope seems about to dim. However do we keep wishing against wish, for how long would this rubbish continue? Only Almighty Allah on whom the clock of destiny lays will rescheduled events in this nation of ours to the advantage of the masses someday.
