The Nigerian Minority Question: Speaking
for God

Many Nigerian families have seen no joy since the Niger Delta Freedom
Fighter, Alh. Asari Dokubo was arrested by the Nigerian police for
exercising his rights to speech and granting an interview to the press
and making statements that the Obasanjo government found unpalatable. He
was arrested on Sept. 20, 2005 and have since been charged for treason by
the Federal Attorney General, Mr. Bayo Ojo, who himself flouted the rules
of the Nigerian Bar Association of which he was president in order to
serve his selfish ambition to become the federal AG.
The first set of tragegies that have tormented Nigerian families since
this oppressive arrest of the freedom fighter happened miles apart but
almost simultenously; first was the First Lady and President Obasanjo's
official wife number 1, late Mrs Stella Obasanjo who died as a result of
complications from a plastic surgery in a Spain hospital; and second was
the October 22nd crash of a Bellview-operated Boeing 707 plane at Lissa in
Ogun state killing 117 persons, majority of whom were members of a class
of opportunists in Nigeria.
Perhaps these incidents were not enough warning, Nigeria soon forgot and
went on with its oppression of dissent and the weak, unrepresented and
underrepresented persons of Nigeria. The PDP-controlled government
arrested many innocent Niger Delta (mainly Ijaw) youths in Portharcourt
and Yenagoa and then added to it the arrest and/or murder of many MASSOB
members and leaders. Tragedy again struck the nation when the step son of
the ruling PDP chairman was lost in the crash of another plane he was a
pilotting, at Kaduna.
The evil acts of oppression of the federal government continued with the
way it handled the removal of former Governor Alamieyeseigha of Bayelsa.
In the desperate effort to remove Alamieyeseigha, who by all standards is
a thief of the poor people of Bayelsa and Nigeria, the mighty Federal
Government raped and abused the Constitution of the Federation of
Nigeria. It did this by using the EFCC to coerce and intimidate the state
legislators, the state judicial system and the state police. It replaced
the state police commissioner, Mr Osuchukwu with his Osun State
counterpart, Mr Hafiz Ringim with an apparent mandate to carry out the
mission of removing the Governor from office. Not only that, it withdrew
the security of the Governor's office and stopped the monthly subvention
to the state. The initimidation and harrassment of the Governor with
incessant searches of his offices and restriction of his movements with
both the police and the military under the control of the Federal
Government.
Eventually and expectedly, the Governor was "impeached" by the legislators
acting out a script from federal authorities in Abuja. In fact, the
legislators were flown into Bayelsa from Abuja (where they had been lodged
by the Federal Government) for this purpose, on the day of the
impeachment. Minutes after the impeachment, the new commissioner of
Police who had a duty to perform went into the state government house and
arrested the Governor. In hand-cuff, the governor was flown to Abuja via
the PortHarcourt airport.
To me, the aforementioned event is the worst form of abuse and misuse of
power by man. News reports have it that there was jubilation at the seat
of federal power in Abuja (Aso Rock) on the day of the fall of Gov
Alamieyeseigha to federal forces. This jubilation was not to last, as
divine forces once again proved to Aso Rock that there is some higher
force, still on the throne. Barely 24 hours after the jubilation, on
December 10, a Sosoliso-operated airplane caught fire in mid-air while
attempting to land on PortHarcourt airport killing dozens of children of
the opportunists of the Nigerian state and some PDP chieftains of Rivers
State. Over 100 persons died in this disaster. It is important to note
that this happened on the same day the ruling party, PDP was having its
convention in Abuja at which the powerful members were busy suspending and
expelling their other powerless and perceived political enemies.
Again, Nigeria is returned to morning mood. The president has cancelled
his planned trip to Portugal for this reason. Knowing Nigerians, they
will forget very soon this tragedy and will not take proper notice of what
the divine forces are trying to tell the leadership. I predict that
president/emperor Obasanjo and his sea of cronies will forget to take
proper notice of these events and continue to attempt to destroy perceived
enemies. I also predict that for each enemy brought down, especially from
the Niger Delta region, there will be consequences of unexplainable and
biblical proportions! And that, for as long as there are higher powers
than the powerful emperor Obasanjo, this game of show of supremacy will
continue with unpredictable consequences. I predict that the victims will
be random but will hit the opportunists harder.
Nigeria is in need of a leader who places national interest above his
person and apply the law equally no matter who runs foul of it. President
Obasanjo has proven not to be this leader. This is why, Obasanjo will
send soldiers to South-South states with ease and under flimsy excuses but
will not do same to most other parts of Nigeria. For instance, EFCC men
were manhandled in Plateau but the soldiers were not called in but for far
less serious event in Bayelsa, we have soldiers deployed by the President
to harass innocent Bayelsans. These actions will be rewarded with divine
vengeance against the presidency and its cronies. This is a prophecy!
