It is
ridiculous to read from newspapers, the curriculum vital of certain
personality seeking to become the country's president come 2007 but
this could not automatically accord the candidacy to win his party
primaries despite the chains of degrees but all we needed is somebody
embodied with the quality and the ability to lead the nation, hence
Prof. Abrahim Gambari could be a one time deputy secretary general of
the UNO for many years but could he be able to discharged the
practical aspect of a pragmatic leader that is inbuilt with patriotic
impetus in a complex nation like Nigeria?
Besides,
the presidency contest is not open to a party alone but to the entire
listed and registered political parties in the federation, therefore,
the manifestos of a party has no relationship with the others and
perhaps the current government ruling party may not be accessible to
the corridor of the presidency in the coming dispensation that is
scheduled to be initiated by the 29th of May, 2007.
Of
course, King Solomon never had chains of degrees before he descended
the mantle of leadership in the medieval periods of traditional
societies hence the ability to leadership is naturally enthroned but
in the contemporary world, a leader needed at least a first degree to
compliment it political capability.
Therefore, the acquaintances of chains of degrees does not determine
the natural experience to leadership.
But on
the other hand, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku has a wide experience in the
faculty of humanity with the ability to rule and manage the country as
a constituency, besides, he is loved nationally and internationally by
the citizenry of this great country, Nigeria.
In spite of the current project for Nigerians in the Diaspora to come
back home to assist in building the nation, our magical and esteemed
Alhaji Atiku has earlier made such calls earlier this year by
categorically declaring that his proposed government will be dominated
by technocrats from the Diaspora.
Indeed
in his manifesto he made it clear that the country will be turn to an
Eldorado state in the shortest time if given the opportunity,
although, his critics may say that it is an inducement strategy to
attract voters, but practically, he's real.
So far, Nigeria has the financial capability to turn the country into
a modern Europe despite the huge sum of money stole by these
politicians, instead of using the money to build industries and
reactivate others infrastructures in their localities, they feels
comfortable and preferred to bank the money in western banks instead
the stolen wealth is used to sustain the western economy wherein our
economy is randomly retrogressing without layouts of improvement.
The grave corruption in the country could not be related to
colonialism rather it is within the rank and file of Aso Rock to the
various 36 state governments, thus, this conception is perceived and
confirmed by the entire citizens of our blessed country.
In view of the above, we needs to seek redress through mandative
rights to stopped these disgruntled leaders from corridors of power
since they are correlated to profligacy and misappropriation of public
fund to personal projects and also they should all be thoroughly
questioned on their stewardships after they have been dismantled from
leadership.
In respect, we do not need the next president to be imposed through
tactical reasons since the quality of leadership should be assessed
collectively by the citizenry, hence Prof. Wole Soyinka saw reasons
in the person of Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, more so, Mr. President should
please resolved the strain relationship with his Mr.VP through
decisive reconciliation process because it is uncultured and
untraditional, moreover, allow him to exercise his rights as with the
essence of rule of law which is part of democracy and good governance,
because, it is natural that human beings are not of the same concept.
As recalled, this dispensation is left with 9 months to conclude it
juridical tenure, therefore, it's of the indicative that we should
opt for peace, brotherhood, progress and unity to reign in the
political scenarios of our federated nation within these periods left.
Meanwhile, the INEC should seriously engaged itself on how to conduct
a free and fair elections devoid of electoral malpractices such as
rigging, thus, the episode of 2003 should not be repeated again and
as well the June 12th event of 1993 should not resurfaced,
if not, Nigeria, stand the chance of disintegration since the debacle
of the Niger Delta is yet unresolved.
God bless Nigerians and its three organs of governments with the
Presidency.
Amen!!
