The Uncertainty  Of Nigeria  Indivisibility

The subject as titled is wittingly meant to review the pathological polity of the current adopted system of government acknowledged as  Democracy and was collectively accepted by the citizenry of the state called Nigeria in a True Federated podium.

As in reference to the above,  in a u-turn process in 1999 the federal republic of Nigeria  initiated a modest political system of management known as the civil method of governing as against the boorish customary junta process however this sort of administration is predominant among the African continent governments and besides its founded through the mode of dictatorship and bully and that's why the stratocracy  system of management is not in conformity with our present political practice and as a result  we’re traumatised by the present dispensation in the ways of handling the affairs of the country.

In view of the above, it is sad to have  noted that this dispensation had breached the principles of democracy due to the confused methods of discharging its policies to the populace and instead of treating her public with maximum respect and love,  she prefers to treats them like monsters because she feels that they are chained to the jungle hence the leadership style of the government seems to be uncivilised without  pronounced moral ethics hence it lacks management proficiency and also contaminated with the lust for wealth and the hunger to remain in corridors of power uninterrupted.

Accordingly, the locomotive apparatus of this management has led to the concept that the leaders are not meant to serve the people rather they are just there to exploit the peoples resources for their personal glory hence we’re seeing strange developments in the style of the government in discharging her policies in an unconstitutional headways without interruption by the citizens, this comportment has led the country to another apolitical and despotic approach of the past military governments that once  instigated the populace to had denounced the system in favour of the current  democratic procedures.

Nevertheless, the conceptualised democracy is not yet in existence because the President of the federation does not apply the will of communal device such as the thrust for a democratic morality coupled with a nationalistic tendency and subsequently we’re  not egalitarian yet.

This is the more reason that the OBJ administration of the 1998 to 2007 seems to have contravened the oath of  office with the allegiance to protect democracy to it totality and uphold the constitution.

As with  the observation  above, it is pathetic to have observed in the day polity that the citizens of this great country are devilishly  falling  apart  due to the evolutional trends we are now clouded with and Subsequently the northern and southern counterparts of the  union are becoming  daily frustrated by the utterances generated from those chauvinistic politicians with tendencies contrary to national interest therefore, this deportment is strange to the concreted order of the Nigerian state consequently it caused me great worries for  our beloved fatherland.

On the other hand,  the dictatorial process of governing by the present political officers indicates that we are gunning toward another dark period that might eventually decide Nigeria’s intention to either remain as a one nation or be divided to different nations such as the former Soviet Union or the former Yugoslavia Republic because the process of governing the country at the moment is with a bias attitude complemented with tribal and regional interests instead of the perfect code of one constituency composed with various cantons with an equal love for all.

As with retrospect to the subject, the government need to intervene without delay now   to stopped the mediocrity method of governing the people through a partiality mode that contradicts the regulations of good governance.

Recently, I was stunned and frightened to the red, when I read the jolt news in some news publications about the reunion of the three giants of the northern zone in a narrow-mindedness platform thus pitching to the politics of regionalism and tribal leapfrogged, in consequence these defaced extremist of the northern league, the likes of the current dispensation Vee Pee, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, and Formers military head of state such as Alhaji Mohammed Buhari likewise Alhaji Ibrahim Badamosi Babagida are melodramatically fanning the ambers of regional discord in the corporate state for the reason that their postures demonstrates a ridicule to the dated government and its entity and as such nobody is above the law  of the land but I sees that Alhaji Atiku is almost soiling his image for the chance to the next presidency.

Through, the mid-night meeting had sparked rolls of controversies and as such being described as the gathering together of Nigeria enemies of progress and more so it depicts the assembly of vampires.

However, as one of Alhaji Atiku advocates, I completely opposed and do not  approved  his present comportment and perhaps it appears the desperacy has taken him to a wrong direction and it will lead him lose public sympathy. Also, the possibility of winning the presidency is now reduced drastically in favour of a South South consensus candidate. Though there is still time for him to retract from the misdirection.

REVIEW  TOMadam Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala Resignation:

The swift reaction  that motivated her to tendered resignation letter to the government and seized to be part of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s cabinet is yet to be revealed while the episode was an earthquake and a big blow to the national political scene, though it is perceived by the general public that the PDP ruling government does not favoured transparent and patriotic qualities, as such its against credible leaders to be involved in the management affairs of the country.

The manifestation of the government of the day is so pitiable  as to be identified with typified personality conflicts compounded with dictatorial tendency.

From the run of events, what must have prompted this devoted daughter, beloved wife and mother to resigned her office after she has succeeded  through her professional sharpness to have reduced our foreign debt as the erstwhile  minister of finance affairs since the year 2003 before she was recently reposted to head the external affairs ministry of which she didn’t stayed more than 45 days before the sycophants in Aso Rock plotted a palace coup while she was away in London for a mission to negotiate for another debt relief. However as soon as she came back to Abuja she was frustrated by an unexpected comportment by  the  power above and this instigated her to had tendered an immediate resignation  from the services of the federal government  but with the flimsy excuse of family responsibility.

Anyway, in any fire there must be a smoke and  accordingly we should not be carried away by false impressions because we’re really living in a jungle state despite the frame civilised environment coupled with the mock democratic system of government but it is evidenced that most concerned citizens felt that the country is heading toward its last stage to final oblivion.

In all, Madam Dr. Ngonzi Okonjo-Iweala is a celebrated progeny of Delta state  likewise a pride to the corporate state so she’s commended to keep her shoulders high for being a professional and she should adopt to the condom of linguistic simplicity with pride since by destiny, the sky is her limit. All the same, I know definitely that she will one day be called upon  to serve the nation again in the highest capacity as the first female president of  this great country called Nigeria.

NIGER DELTA CRISIS  WITH MARGINALISATION ORDER:

The greatness of Nigeria is attributed to the Niger Delta region that is predominantly composed by three minority ethnic nationalities groups known as the “ BOMODI” otherwise the IJAW, the URHOBO and the IBIBIO-EFIK  with at least a hundred local dialects plus an estimated population of about 22 million coupled with a landscape approximated to about 71.000 sq. km, furthermore, the people live in a few large cities and over 3.000 remote communities and villages settled in the mangrove, swamp and lowland rain forest. However, in the national  geo-politically perspective we are classified as people living in the wetland or coastal areas of the Nigerian federation.

The natives are traditionally occupied with farming and fishing as the main economic activities while in the urban areas are dominated by commerce and oil industry activities.

As I was informed, oil exploration started in the Niger Delta region as far back as the late 1930s although  it was later found in commercial quantity in 1956 at the swampy area of Oloibiri town located in the present Bayelsa state of Nigeria. Since the discovery of the petroleum resources in business quantity the production has now increased in a sky rated dimension.

The situation in the Niger Delta, of course the South-South is so wretched that the environment look alike the Mars’s world whereby human nature seized to exist and

this is summed up as the result of the dehumanised condition of the people, although  they are blessed with the rich-oil resources but by accident it became a cursed to have inherited the terrain that incubated the golden eggs that sustains the Nigeria economy to 85% and a whopping 95% of the country’s foreign economic force but the governments of the federation from time immemorial keeps denying the natives the rights to their ancestry property such as the natural resources inside their terrains and the rights to participate in the management of their resources therein the oil-rich = ( Black Gold ).

Never mind the pact to the amalgamation,  the country geo-political structure with the ethnic nationalities groups in the 1960/63 agreements was supposed for a true federalism platform but was unfortunately taken  by the wind of evolution and as a result of the confidence we reposed on the country’s ideology of communalism  eventually became double victims to our fate as well as the pact that was later betrayed by the intervention of the military regime through the supports of the majority ethnic groups acknowledged as the WAZOBIA which by nature is composed by the HAUSA, IGBO, YORUBA and besides, they are principally living in the upper land of the country against  the minority grouping  known as the South-South that is residing within  the localities of the wetland and for this reason the sacred rights of the minority Southerners is still contested and yet to be restored.

As recall, in line with the federalization of fiscal supremacy, the  junta boys abolished the 50% derivation formula due for the wetland region in 1969 just before the end of the Nigeria civil war this brought about to the continue imbroglio in  governments circles and particularly of individual propensities through the activations of obnoxious policies as to save-guide their evil tendencies as against the longstanding neighbouring agreement of the pluralistic government.

Meanwhile, we seeks redress by suggesting that the remedy to a lasting peace in the Niger Delta tragedy is for the government to address the yet pending bone of contention such as the question of the resource control, revenue allocation, involvement of the indigenes in the affairs of the oil and gas sector, stewardship transparency and accountability, environmental and infrastructures activations ( Water-Electricity-Schools-Roads-Bridges-Hospitals-Industries), a well coded economic compensation scheme to elevate the socio-economic status from the actual impoverished and slummy dilemma as well as to drastically reduced the unemployment emergency in the region.

Thus, as of the above contentions, I strongly advocate for an immediate economic development of the region as to indicate the notion of a true federalism state with the democratic principles of equal opportunity and without the distinctive concept of majority and minority divisions, if not the heart of the conviction of a true federalism state will become an non-figurative issue.

THE TERRORIST ACT AND FIRE TO FIRE ORDER:

Recently, I was flabbergasted when I read in the newspapers that Mr. President has given the order that the oil kidnappers in the Niger Delta region should henceforth be treated as a “Terrorist and be dealt with through Military force”,  instead of the previous approach of “Civil Dialoguing”.

The President choice now to use force to force to quell down the fierce  militant youths for vexfully contesting the impoverished situation in their homeland  is disappointing  and must be checked and contested without delay if not the youth restiveness in this district will escalate to a more volatile dimension that will ushered primitive methods to handle their guest ( the conglomerate foreign and domestic workers), so it is not a wise decision, of course he needs a comprehensive political approach such as constitutional rights and so  by this approach the natives will be rescued from the perpetual poverty condition to a decent style of living coupled with a healthy socio economic upgraded  instead of insisting on using military might as an alternative solution to curb the log jam resistance.

In addition, the approved step by the government to spit fire for fire will galvanised to grave hostility and anarchy that will eventually post as a threat to national unity and consequently it will obviously attract the sympathy of the international community to join hands with the Niger Deltans to established the legal contest of favourism, maltreatment and the total oppression of a sector by the corporate state and as such the region will be fully supported with the legality to seek for a confederated or a self determination status therefore is sine definitive.

For the meantime, it is pinioned that Mr. President should rather be thoughtful as to considered a  political solution as a last resort because the indigenes wont succumbed to the latest order rather they will preferred to be dead than alive for the reason that the frustration they had incurred from past and present governments are a enough reason for them to accept fate with realism.

As to be recalled, it is imperative to note that Mr. President military generals has persistently advised the presidency with visionary and professional counsel for him to take a softer line rather than a martial approach and apply civil methods as the yardstick to resolved the dehumanised query in the region and also to restructured the imbalance political structure in the federation but he continue paying deaf ears which is equivalent to provocation that foresees a danger ahead the indivisibility of this great country.

                                      THE BAKASSI DILEMMA:

The provoking subject of the Bakassi peninsula is symptomatically giving Mr. President a serious disturbance at this moment and I supposed by now he must have silently agreed his wrong for had signed the controversial deal that ceded the island to the Republic du Cameroon without a prior legal advised.

Nevertheless, the event for the passage of the island to the neighbouring government was in a low profile with a sorrowful atmosphere for the reason that the natives does not approved the action hence it look alike the Gaza strip question that is yet unresolved and still in contestation  between the Israeli government and the Palestinian authority.

Therefore, Mr. President is advised to tender an appeal to the ICJ for a thorough  review of the case via the nominative process of “ The Non Acceptability” of the “Verdict” mainly  for the reasons of the irregularities and moreover  it appears to be a preconceived notion intentionally meant to favour the litigant against the defendant and as a result the legal blessing is unacceptable, Null and Void.

In consequence with the mentioned facts thus it is outside the recognition of  the Niger Deltans and the Nigerian generality.

Thereupon, the question should be referred to the legislative organ of the two chambers of the National Assembly for further study toward an appropriate ratification and to  be followed by a cross examination of the citizenry through the process of a referendum or plebiscite that will summoned the citizens of the Nigerian federated union to approved the exercise by the practice of mandative rights before the government take her stand. This is how democracy is operated in the developed world.

Above all, the analysis of the legality of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo to had assumed the authority for had concurred  to the stipulated agreement  for had ceded it ancestry territory to the neighbouring Cameroon  without the prior consultation of its institutions and the stakeholders,  it is described as an act of a moron, cynical,  mediocrity and acrimonious.

Therefore,  is a sine qua non exercise more so without a locus standi and  in summary it appears to be a mortgage event that will be repealed in the shortest future by the succeeding government.

WAZOBIA AND BOMODI - EQUAL TO NATIONAL UNITY:

Conclusively, the question of the uncertainty of the Nigeria  indivisibility has to be digested intelligently as result we needs to refer to the present arrangement of the country political structure that’s of  structurally cacophony and monogamy, accordingly, it is defaulted due to the mode of implementation.

As recall, it is noted that most of our leaders are not technocrat enough to fabricate and implement  policies of actuality for the interest of the nation instead they are still romantic with  the colonial practice of “Divide and Rule” that is against the contemporary tradition of politicking. Hence we need to call them to caution now and seek redress by confronting them with the modern day principles of democracy and good governance therefore the present administration and the coming dispensation should apply present-day mode of management as per-se with the  evolutional trends, thus the government should considered “Indigenisation Policy” as the best guiding principle to protect the labour and commercial fields of the country from the flaw of  expatriates for the reality  that the modern world labour dictionary detested the word  “EXPATRIATE”.

Furthermore, our industries and oil companies has been polluted, abused and contaminated by expatriates at the detriment  of seas of heads of qualified citizens  perambulating, mopping in the Nigerian urban and suburb areas without no guarantee to their desires bright future and this unspeakable scene is most common in the Niger Delta region that hosts the multinational oil companies in the federation but the government is yet to stop such inconsistent exhibition of colonial mentalism just because they term the natives of this region as the minorities of the true federated republic. Isn’t this an exploitation act ? Yes ! It is really !

Besides, they have turned the region to a “Business Zone” and it is tagged as a no mans land.

This is the most serious questions to be contested because the mass unemployment in the region depicts a systematic approach to eliminate the indigenes through economic starvations by autonomatically making the zone to  become a no mans territory .

Although, the precarious socio economic situation of the area stands as the major priority for youths restiveness that complimented to the volatile environment hence the federal government should addressed the unemployment and expatriate issues now because it is unjust also against natural law for foreigners to dominate the affairs of your domestic resources.

Furthermore, we should resolve the “Majority and Minority” issues  in the political scenarios of the Nigeria entity and her institutions in as far we were brought together through the essence of amalgamation with a true federalism  allegiance so no one is  either superior, neither majority nor minority to the other as a result to this, the cultural phrase WAZOBIA should as well score the same identity with BOMODI and on the other hand BOMODI is the same meaning to WAZOBIA and automatically they are both stakeholders of the Nigerian state.

The word - WAZOBIA is derived from the three major ethnic groups in the country known as the YORUBA, HAUSA, IGBO having the same meaning in their pronouncement for the word -  “COME.” In progression, the same word “COME” is used by the  BOMODI  cultural groups of course  the three major minority ethnic groups from the southern sector known as  the IJAW, URHOBO, IBIBIO-EFIK.

As recall, the two cultural blocks are the founding pillars of the Nigerian state of which one cannot do without the other and moreover they are both stakeholders of this great country and this is the more reason why our politicians should be cautious of their utterances in the polity of the nation.

Thus, it is imperative to be brotherly and be polite while contesting political issues in the national levels due to the sensitivity of the federalism concept.

Consequently, it is the high time for a South-South indigene to take-over the leadership control of our beloved fatherland since the divisional five of the six geo-political regions has already taken their place in the presidency  for that reason the next dispensation should automatically be considered as the privilege for the South-South despite we’re much opposed to a zoning process at all levels of government.

Anyway,  as the indices of cultural tradition of democracy entails thus  it will be considerate for the democratic minds in the country to endorsed their support for the struggle of the  region by massively giving their mandate to the consensus candidate of the South-South to become the next President of Nigeria come 2007, however there is already a searchlight to locate the consensus candidate.

So far, I fervently have the believe that after a long time of sacrifice and supports for Wazobia to had defended the national unity and supports her governments and so it is logically  the right time for her to come to the rescue of Bomodi as to clutch the Presidency and become the next tenant of Aso Rock.

                                                           CONCLUSIVELY:

In a nutshell, i seized this opportunity to extend my unfinished compliments to Mr. President- His Excellency  Chief Matthew Olusegun Obasanjo for the relentless pragmatism posture in ruling the complex federated union and I commend him to be more explicit in  the fight against corruption despite dishonesty was introduced by colonial masters but it is not part of the cultural tradition of any decent society hence your delegated officer for this job should not be discouraged by your government because Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is doing a very perfect job, though he’s exposed to great risk but he should not be distracted rather he should make sure that  the cleansing exercise should not favour anybody suspicious of questionable wealth since nobody is above the law of the land.

Secondly, I  preferred to seek  your noble person to deemed it timely to release the ethnic minority freedom fighter Alhaji Dokubo Asari  and also consider the immediate freedom of Chief Ralph Nwazuiruike likewise the OPC scribe more so the former governor of Bayelsa state Chief D.S.P. Alamieyeseigha from incarceration because their being caged is perceived as political prejudiced.

In all, you should ensure  that the question of the Niger Delta should be attended speedily through a political process rather than a military approach and you should also act as an advocate as to restructured the political imbalance in the national perspective equally we entrust you with the duty  to work toward relieving the poor masses from the existing precarious socio economic condition.

For the meantime,  you are empower by the citizens with the duty to stop the rampant political killings at the moment and make an effort to see that the INEC is not corrupted so as to allow elections malpractices such as candidate favouritism  with rigging therefore we pray for a free and fair polls devoid of violence and accept the politics of bitterness, also, you should make sure that the interim government fever don’t surfaced, if not, this will be a strong doubt to the indivisibility state and consequently it will instigate the fragmentation of the treasured federal republic of Nigeria before 2007.

God bless.
