Census Figures: Is this a Chicken Population from Ota Farm?

The results of the national census as released few weeks ago within few months to a general election can be described as one of the wonders of the world in a country which the leadership does not know how to intelligently tell a lie to a nation which has it citizens in most of the advanced nations in the world. Nigeria leadership still underestimated the IQ of all those that ever stepped into the corridor of institution of higher learning since it so called independence in 1960 and this is very unfortunate.

Governors and politicians have all been analyzing the result but the statements from Lagos state leadership has always been of interest to me as a person from a neighboring state Ogun that has more Local government than Lagos with fewer population. Lagos State remained the most deprived state in Nigeria despites its economic and financial contributions to Nigeria and the Federal Government under both civilians and military actively deprived Lagos its place in history and economic advancement since 1967 when the city or state was politically carved out of western region to weaken the western regional government in Nigeria.

The State can be likened to the life of a teacher despite all contributions to human race remains the least paid in any society. Abuja as the Federal Capital was conceived by Obasanjo and Murtala in 1976 with Justice Aguda Panel because the state was suffering from over population and it was increasingly becoming difficult to handle Oju Elegba traffic and many other places until Babangida after surviving the coup of Major Okar in 1991 relocated immediately to Abuja since then Lagos has been gradually disengaged from Federal contributions leaving everything to progressive governors.

When the government of Bola Tinubu created additional local government it was strongly resisted by the Federal Government and many forces from the North. The resistance was so strong that all the Federal allocation to the state was all stopped until the Governor had to “Dobale” for Baba or presidency, which eventually cancelled the counties despite the court rulings in favor of the state. The recent Census figure exonerated the governor and places him on the platform of gold and truth and presidency on the history of liars

If Governor Bola Tinubu in Lagos State was sure of his facts which I believe that the National Population actually got 4.9 million household forms from Lagos state then he should head for court and have the NPC tender as exhibit all the forms instead of just weeping on the pages of Newspapers.

I am still not surprised that President Obasanjo announced such a dubious 140 million population for Nigerians taking his track record from 1975 to date.  Nigeria leadership does not believe in the rule of law, fairness and respect for TRUTH infact they do not even know how to be a good liar. From the Lagos International Airport one can feel and sense the population of the city, which United Nations says, is one of the largest concentration of human race in the world. A city with 4.9 million household with an average of 1.6 million housed with over 64 percent of those houses are “face me I face you type the figure of 140 millions as released is very short of the truth. An elementary pupil can do a better simple arithmetic than the bogus figure from Nigeria Census Commission.

If Kano state was that much in population how come it has fewer number of students in schools despite free and compulsory primary education or how come the figure of those taking the WASC does not tally with the state population? How many cities and state hospitals are there in Kano states? How many schools, and businesses are there in this so-called heavily populated state, what type of jobs do they do in Kano state apart from being the headquarters of Islamic right wingers. Kano remains one of the least developed and backward places in the black race.

As a Nigerian who has traveled to almost all the states of Nigeria particularly Northern states the whole of Kano state between 1976-1996 the whole of Kano State is not more than Ibadan City as a whole. I have been in Kano and stayed at Central Hotel on several occasions. Most of my trips to Kano were done by road. You could hardly see any thing but desert on this so called most populous state in Nigeria.

Nigeria under Obasanjo presidency Nigeria is the only country in the world men are more than women negating all reasonable facts of head counts in the world, even the Bible says women (Isaiah Charter 4) are always more. Scientifically the laws of anatomy and physiology on human formation with the X and Y-chromosomes indicated the procedure for human formation meaning it is easier to produce female kids than male in any part of the world except in the country in which Aremu is the president something is not right here with the analysis here from the National Census’s office, figures from the various hospital maternity wards indicated the birth of female more than male which makes mockery of the Census figure

Under OBJ a state like Kano with limited number of students in primary, secondary schools as well as university with little and no scientific and economic contribution to human race will have 42 local governments while Lagos will have only 20 local government. Can we expect anything new from this presidency? No. Reuben Abati a popular columnist from the Guardian Newspaper in Nigeria in most of his serial articles titled   “Bolekaja Presidency” says anything is possible under this presidency and this figures as released is one of them.

It is only in Nigeria that every effort to use everything scientific to get to the truth are resisted by the North such as National Identification, compulsory head count of female in the “ Purdah” in most Muslims homes in the North particularly in the most of the Sharia states only to be given any figure by the head of the household.

Finally, I can conveniently say that the figure as released are nothing but the total number of chickens n OBJ farm at Ota and that cattle’s of his Northern friends they are short and far away from the true population of Nigeria It should be canceled and thrown to the dustbin of history like his abortive third term and constitutional reform, which were not done with facts and truth. If we are finding it difficult to even do a simple and honest headcount maybe it is time to revisit the amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914 by Lord Luggard.
