Bankole, Abba Anas and the Nigerian Polity

The 360 members whom were elected from six geo-political zones are expected to make good laws that will make impact positively on the well being of the citizenry. Also the most important responsibility of any parliament is to ensure that he stands firmly and decisively on a position that will depend and promote the interest of the people he represents or stand against any move or position that will weaken or negatively affect his primary objectives, his people and his constituency. But Alas! That is the contrary in respect to the present situation in the house of representative, because some few individuals are making move to impeach the speaker, Demeji Bankole.

Viewing at the episode, one can come to the conclusion that these people (MPs) are just desperate to carry out their selfish agenda in the house by black mailing the speaker because some of them are just making relevance and because some were sacked from the respective posts in the house.

These members should be made to know or understand that their move is not for the interest of most loving Nigerians and its regarded or termed as a move fashioned to destabilized the polity. It is time that these groups who are rising dust in the house are not happy with the present peaceful development in the polity which we overcome since the time of Yar,adua’s illness to his death (May he rest in peace) and the stability and the good working relationship being enjoy in the house. But U.S. writer, Jack Kerouac (1922 - 1969) was very correct to have said “I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion.”

The point in time, Hon. Ehogie west Idanusa(PDP Edo) was reported saying and calling on Nigerians to protect democracy by supporting their move to impeach Bankole. Mr. Hon. Sir, is it supporting you to cause confusion in the polity (house) or allowing you people, Progressive Minded Lawmakers (PML) and Nigerian First Forum (NFF) groups to satisfy your selfish interest and selfish aggrandizement that will protect democracy? Please you people should not fool Nigerians and bring bewilderment to the polity. Please allow Nigeria and Nigerians to be.

Any rational person and loving Nigerian is thinking, hoping and praying to do anything within his rich (ability) to see how he or she can contribute to bring stability, maintain sanity and peaceful development in the Nigeria polity. So that, 2011 elections would be conducted in peaceful manner to ensure free and fair election that will give birth to good, honest , transparent and selfless leaders e.t.c, the leaders that can face the challenges this blessed country (called) Nigeria is facing. That is why, even the western world promised to sponsor the 2011 elections

In line with our discussion, I will use this medium to call on Hon. Abba Anas Adamu(a.k.a. Laushi) member of the house of representative, representing Kiri-Kasamma, Guri and Birniwa Federal constituency from Jigawa state, also the head of Nigerian First Forum (NFF) group to stop or limit campaign of calumny in the media by making to be relevance, because this not the way to represent your constituency, your senatorial zone and your young and promising state Jigawa. Hon. has been organising interview with prints and even electronic media, in which I happened to have read many of such interview and i also listened to a programme he aired with Abuja based FM station(Vision FM 92. 1) The Burgami programme which Madina Dauda chairs between 8:00am -9:00am every morning.

If people have been vividly following the train of Abbas’s political activities since he came to the house 2007, he has been in one way or the other to cause puzzle in the Nigeria polity. This Hon. was the only member in the house especially from the north, precisely from the north west to came out disgustedly to call for late Yar’ Adua’s resignation and impeachment, the issue of Yar,Adua is now a rest case(history) he has now came up with another wahala to impeach the speaker Bankole. Hon. Abba Anas are you the very person I use to know? but it seems something is wrong somewhere, there is greater need to a watch your steps, control your tongue and mind your language and think of better issues to tackle, address and solve in Nigerian society not agitating for things that will paralyse the system of government, frontier social living, disturb peaceful co-existence, sprinkle mutual understanding and cripple democratic process, or else he you should apply Mr. Albert Einstein’s equation’s formula which says; “ If a equals success in life, the formula is a= x+y+Z, x being work, y being play and z keeping your mouth shut” especially with the respect to those things that can put you in trouble, because this not the way to go to come back to the house again or go to the government house! May God guide us aright and bless Nigeria as a whole. Amen.
