Boko Haram and Other Ethnic Self-Determination Organisations are Equal to Restructuring Nigeria By Dr. James Achikeh Austria The Nigerian politicians, Federal Executives and National Assembly members are THE CREATION OF BOKO HARAM, MASSOB, MEND, OPC AND OTHER ETHNIC SELF-DETERMINATION GROUPS in Nigeria today. Their selfishness and greed for empty power made them blind to react to Nigerian peoples feelings and wishes to restructure Nigeria and sit together to discuss the blunder the British colonial master did to Nigerian peoples in 1914. A lot of blood had been splited in Nigeria with the consequent lost of millions of lives in the whole Nigeria State. The current Boko Haram armed action is mainly directed to the so-called leaders in Nigeria. The Boko Haram made it clear that they are fighting for Sharia Government throughout the whole Northern States. They are demanding in this way another constitution for a total and outright sharia government. But in the process, Nigeria will not be thesame again. This will mean the division of Nigeria either into Muslim North and Southern Christians, and/or, total division of Nigeria into many Autonomous Ethnic Sovereign Nations. There is nothing wrong about it. In fact it is the best for the peoples that made up Nigeria. It would be much better to separate peacifully with economic and technological agreement between the former ethnic nations that made up Nigeria. At this junture, it came to my mind what Dr. Aliyu Tilde, in his 15th July Article in this Gamji Newspaper wrote on Boko Haram and I quote: "Even in contemporary Nigeria, there are organizations from various regions asking for a revision of our colonial burden. May be Nigerians of various origins are tired of this impractical Lugardian marriage. After a hundred years, many are ready to end it without walking the extra fifty years of Southern Sudan. Therefore, it will not be out of place if Jonathan, from the oil rich Niger Delta, considers becoming Africa’s Gorbachev. He would definitely be supported by the oil rich but disgruntled and underdeveloped South-south, the enterprising but impeded Southeast, the 'racially' superior Southwest and, finally, the complacent and 'backward' North. A promise of that alone, better than bullets and rapes, may be the dialogue that will end the Boko Haram revolt instantly. The international community will also be relieved of the failure that threatens its economic interest in the Niger Delta". Nigerian youths and the masses will soon explode, and when they do, the lives of all those so-called leaders......the Emirs, Obas and Chiefs, the politicians and all, will be in danger and still Nigeria will disintegrate. The disintration of Nigeria is inevitable, Boko Haram or not, MEND or not, MASSOB or not, OPC or not. The sooner these leaders in Nigeria call for SNC or equivalent Conference of ethnic peoples in Nigeria to discuss and decide how Nigeria would be peacifully disintegrated, or form Confideration, the better, and lives would ne saved. In this case, the new sovereign Nations in the former Nigeria can be allies and build up strong friendship among their nations. NO ONE IN NIGEIA NEEDS TO BE A PROPHET TO KNOW THAT NIGERIA WILL BE DISINTEGRATED SOON. A word is enough for the Wise; unfortunately, Nigerian leaderes are NOT WISE. Cooruption, Greed, 419 and gross selfishness have made them blind and deaf. But the truth of the explosive situation in Nigeria will explode beneath their foot like volcano, tearing down all that they have previously conceived in their false and deluding political management of Nigeria. |
