It was on the 1st day of January 2012 that Nigerians woke up to the shock of an increase in fuel price.

Nigeria spends $10 (Ten us dollars) to produce 1 barrel and the least Nigeria sells a barrel in the international market is $100 Implies that Nigeria makes a profit of $90 per barrel, Nigeria produces 3 million barrel, per day, translating to a profit of about N1 Trillion naira every month,  N12 Trillion naira annually. This analysis is based on the minimum gain according to the lowest price of fuel in the international market. Despite the facts, Government is yet to tell us how much money they spend in refining a litter of petrol.

None of the Oil producing countries in the world sells petrol at or above N105 naira per liter apart from Nigeria. Bellow is the analytical example of Oil producing countries in the world in terms of price per liter and minimum wage.

It was on the 1st day of January 2012 that Nigerians woke up to the shock of an increase in fuel price. How much money does the Government spend on senator’s   allowances? How much do they spend on representatives? Ministers? Directors? Serving Personnel? etc. Record shows that about 70% of the budget goes to the Government; 1.2 Trillion naira spent on national assembly, 600 million naira on senate Leader alone, 30 million naira is spent on senators as his monthly salary, what about the Ministers, Directors, Serving Chiefs etc, 1 billion naira is spent in fueling Presidency cars and generators, yet urging us to belief them on power sector Reform.

Mr. President Sir, at this junction I will like to ask you, how much money did you allocate to the Educational sector, Health Care Services, Infrastructural Development, Fuel Subsidy, etc.? Why not source it from reducing the cost of Governance by reducing the extravagant allowances of Senators, members’ House of Representatives, and other political office holders. I can assure you that there are many of Ex-serving personals that up to today their cars, generators, etc are still being fueled by Government what was the point of monetization.

Removing the fuel subsidy, and increasing civil servant salaries will not be the solution, Mr. president be conscious  of what you are doing, have you forgotten that about 73% of Nigerian populous are not employed by Government,  70% are leaving in absolute poverty.

Mr. President, if the IMF has any representatives in this country he should be asked to leave. IMF is an enemy of the entire continent (Africa). Do you think that Increasing the military salaries is the way forward?, or buying 1,600 buses. The only way forward at this critical situation is by subsidizing fuel price and stopping corruption and those cabals looting our money as well as resource should be stopped.

Nigeria is the only country we have, therefore going by  chapter 4 section 33,34,35,38,39,40and41 of 1999 constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria, to protest is our right, we should there for come out in Geometric number, Multiple progression  in order to stand and fight for our Right. Going by this section of the constitution, why will a patriotic Nigerians who come out in reasonable figures in order to fight for their right, will Government sent policemen and other security agencies after US like Alsatians. This is seen as a total negation of what this country pretends to be, a democratic country. It has put us in the same class as Syria and other countries being ruled by despots is this what they call “TRANSFORMATION” Or the promised “FRESH AIR”?
