So much seems to be happening in Nigeria today, that keeping pace is almost like running like an antelope when being chosen by a cheetah. My brothers in the Niger-Delta have done it again, I recall on ly weeks ago I had written to say that there was trouble on the horizon and someone told me to shut up, what do I know? In Katsina, my joy knew to bounds as people are finally taking their destiny into their hands, although I abhor the violence and deaths. The cartoon riot finally caught up in Nigeria despite all the notice we were caught napping once more in tackling any situation before it gets out of hand, and reprisals have left several dead and we are still counting the loss. And both political leaders and third termers have been maximizing the gains.

 

I was driving with a little boy when we drove into the gas station to refill and somehow the dealer’s brand was Oando Plc and the little boy exclaimed Obasanjo and Others and it hit me, it simply made sense. Nigeria today has become a nation of Femi fat-mouthed Kayode and the newest recruit a fellow Journalist Ugochukwu who in spite of his best efforts looked like a baby trying to scribble his surname at six years old. The Bode Georges, Mantus and co.

 

Its painful that in seven years all the government brands as achievement is progress in macro-economic stability, anti-corruption, transparency, accountability, accelerated this and that all under the umbrella of reforms. However, we know better the problem of ethno-religious conflicts and the newest of hobbies, hostage taking tells a different tale.

 

Obasanjo & Others, the Niger-Delta region is burning and Mr. President is attending a convocation, and when he leaves he orders a security meeting, to do what, Ibori is still sweating at what to do based on the kidnappers request. But the third term and life Presidency bonfire is on.

 

Obasanjo and others, the EFCC have dragged Dariye with friends to court for defrauding his State government, an d the preaching dog eating governor is still singing psalms.

 

An insensitive leadership, the swansong on third term is increasing by the day and all we say is let the debate begin, I had said at the beginning of the third term dreams that even if Obasanjo did not succeed in getting the third term of a bogey, there was strong possibilities that the government would have so many trouble and hot spots, so that elections may not be feasible. This is not an impossibility because if the situations in the Niger-Delta continue, what has occurred in Katsina and Maiduguri, Gombe, Bauchi and Anambra show that no one has the monopoly of violence. These crises here and there would serve Obasanjo and Others the idle platform. Now the arrest of members of the opposition based on thier sins, past, present and imagined ones have become the order of the day.

 

Beloved Obasanjo and Others, a subidiary called Bayelsa where the governor cannot control his wife, where his wife displays executive carelessness that cost a commissioner his life. And then the state declares five days mourning. An insensitive leadership.

 

What an enterprise…? About twenty persons parading themselves as former school mates of Oyo state Deputy Governor in secondary school paid him a courtesy visit in his private residence; the idea was to prove that he indeed attended the school Timi Agbale Grammar School Ede. Among the rented crowd was a man who claimed to be his teacher for five years yet could not ascertain when the Deputy Governor graduated. All this is against the backdrop of questionable data presented by the Deputy Governor. And then last week the Governor sacked four out of the six members of the State Judicial Service Commission, of the two remaining is the acting chief judge who played a key note in the impeachment dance.

 

Obasanjo and Others, one of the directors, Bola Tinubu called the President an ingrate, because the President accused him of electoral rigging, pot calling kettle black and then both Senator Seye Ogunlewe and Femi Fani-Kayode fired back “Tinubu is rude and uncultured, he should start preparing his bag to leave the government house in Lagos come 2007”. This guys have turned Nigeria into their own.

 

Such clowns that we have, as I listened to Kayode talk about  the civil use of language, and uncharitable language I ask, when he was addressing Bishop Onaiyekan, Gowon, Malu et al, he did not know about civility of language. Very uncouth leaders! Senator Mantu said Constitutional review is not for the masses, na wa poor man don suffer.

 

In Abia, we have deputy governor number three in the making, in as less than three days, a deputy governor is impeached, not new, or news either, but then in less than 24 hours he is replaced, but then the replacement cannot be sworn in because Orji Kalu is obeying a court order. Alla h is definitely on a vacation in this part of the world. Dariye of Plateau State accused EFCC of being Mantu’s agent and then Mantu presents himself to EFCC for investigation. Wonders sure would not end.Now the freezing of Orji Kalu's accounts , the accuser has become accused.

 

What bunch, Obasanjo and Others Plc, gives Dariye money and then compel the governor to loan them the money meant for developing the state, the governor does not cry out until it is evidently clear he may be sinking, next PDP realizes it goofed in its admittance that it received part of the money and it asked the governor to produce documented evidence. Ever seen a robber who left a forwarding address for goods he left be hind in a heist. Orji Kalu, Fani Kayode and OBJ towed when there was a similar accusation. Obasanj and Others Plc!

 

Obasanjo and Others, these brands of political rogues must see us as thieves if not, can someone tell me what became of the Orji Kalu’s letter accusing the President which he copied the EFCC or either which way. A simple publicity stunt by the corporate Affairs department of the enterprise called Obasanjo and Others or it was settled in the board room.But that arrangement seems to be falling apart.

 

With the number of political parties at 33 now, its funny that none of them have a bearing of any sort, the same bunch of people moving from spot one to spot one. A funny enterprise, imagine that Dariye of Plateau is a member of the new ACD or that Atiku is alleged to be behind MRDD, though they have denied. In Afenifere it is problem, for Ohaneze it is problem, the Joe Irukwe led body has caught the “more terms” bug, so it does not want to leave again. For Arewa, the battle at breaking the North is one that tops the pro-third term prophets.

 

Obasanjo and Others, at least the wahala in Katsina and Maiduguri would slow things down, maybe despite the government's culpablity which we rae refusing to believe calling it impossible. But then what more could be described as a government by a few for a few with a few. Check out the list of the constitution review members and you just get the drift, for Port Harcourt, Abubakar Sondagi, in Katsina it is Oserheimen Osunbor. For Abakaliki, Jonathan Zwingina, then Obasanjo’s shadow Dalhatu Tafida would be in Maiduguri. Iyabo Anisulowo would be in Lafia and in Oshogbo it would be Ifeanyi Araraume. An enterprise indeed.

 

Five economic advisers in seven years, this enterprise, Obasanjo and Others is ruining us as a nation, running us at their whim and caprice and the future is bleak, the problem in Borno has touched Gombe and started in Bauchi, spiraled into Anambra with lives lost, miscreants have been on rampage, it has turned religious and ethnic, there is no oil in those places, just some places of worship, no oil workers just some common Nigerians. Fate will be a bitter pill if we allow the carnage that Obasanjo and others Plc are determined to turn us into become a reality. We are shareholders in this OANDO, it must not be allowed to crumble. May Almighty Allah hasten the liquidation of this bunch of rulers fast-fast, and sharp-quickly, so that we can have new humane leaders and we can truly be the others in the  very sense of government and the ruled Plc. If not tomorrow, there just maybe no more Nigeria to steal from, how much more govern.  The company will just fold, fold just like that and all we will have left is the vision of a great future that could have been, a past squandered.
