I have some very, very good news for hungry Nigerian consumers. I had it, on the authority of an insider political chieftain, that there is no food crisis (no, food situation) in Nigeria! That it is Abacha and, of course, including his boys, that caused the food crisis. That they have been the ones telling Nigerians that there is food crisis, while there is none!
According to this senior authority, it is not true that gari jumped from N30 to about N80; that it is the Abacha boys that created this because they don’t like Obasanjo. It is they, also, who told Nigerians lies that bread flew from N45 to N80 in recent weeks. This is also the creation of the Abacha boys.
That maize which was N800 during Abacha and N3000 now is not true. The truth, according to this master, is that it was during Abacha that maize was N3000 as against N800 now. It was, again, during his time that the naira was 140 to the dollar as against N81 now under this saintly dispensation of this high grade performance in failure.
The truth according to the guru is that gari is actually N3.00 per measure and a bag of maize N200, while rice is N300 per 100kg bag and not N8000 as being peddled by these destablizers called Abacha boys.
So let us now sing; the food crisis in Nigeria is false, in all material particulars, created by the Abacha boys who do not want the success of this messianic administration. Also sing that only the Abacha boys are telling Nigerians to tell their media friends, that this administration has failed Nigerians. Mark it also that it is the same Abacha cronies that told the U.S. Secret Service that there are some “fat cats” with bulky accounts abroad into which they keep equally fat “egunje’s”. Don’t also forget that they were the ones who went to Transparency International and pressurized them, through the magic power of Abachaism, to crown Nigeria as the most corrupt country in 2000. Yes, they were the ones. No doubt about it. These Abachas can do and undo.
Worse still, they are the ones making the various services not to function. These Abacha boys are very dangerous and must be firmly blackmailed and dealt with by getting Enenih’s INEC not to register their association as a political party.
You know, they are on to destabilizing this good administration by forming a political association at a time when there are about four other formidable ones. You see, only the one to which they belong has the magic power to destabilize the excellent administration of Saint Obasanjo. The others, such as New Frontiers. Fourth Dimension and that belonging to IBB boys, have no such magic power. How can they have it when they aren’t Abachas?
So, let Nigerians be aware that any association to which the Abacha boys belong, or any one of them, for the matter, must be treated, by the new democratic rules of the Rock, as an agent of destabilization and must be treated as such. The new rule also says that no association, of whatever description, should admit any Abacha man as a member, because he is a dangerous element that must not be accorded any democratic right. Any one who so admits him does so at his own risk.
You see, those threatening to break up the country if they don’t get second term or the presidency; those slaughtering fellow citizens in the name of catching thieves, those practicing Nazism and Hutuism; those provoking and instigating religious crisis and those gearing up for war over resources control are not agents of destabilization but key officers of stabilization out to dismember Nigeria. Only the Abacha boys are for the simple reason that they formed an association like other interest groups did and are doing. After all, they are the only “looters” because they left traces like their oga.
Yes, Abacha let “looting traces”, and that is why they have been harassing his widow and orphans. According to the new theory, other past heads of state, apparently including Obasanjo also "looted" but left no traces and so they are not being investigated. Forget the fact that the Justice Minister was instructed, in writing, by Saint Obasanjo, to TRACE only Abacha loots and those of his associates! No such letter was written in respect of other or any other Nigerian for that matter. Talk of tracing Abacha “loot”, talk of no traces of others.
The good news here is that even as Nigerians see what is on ground, the loots of others cannot be traced. They know how to cover their own tracks, only Abacha did not know how to be trickish in this game of track cover up.
Now that U.S. Secret Service, (by the way how and when were they smuggled in like their military counterparts?) based here in mother Nigeria, have uncovered some current tracks. Let’s see if their wives and children would, equally, be harassed, victimized and intimidated. But I know what the verdict would be a "no evidence” as in the case of the missing N40 billion.
Meanwhile, by the new theory of, “all looted but covered with their own tracks”, we should go to the graves of Balewa, Zik, and Murtala to ask them how much they looted. From there we move to Minna to ask IBB and Abdul Salam. Up to Sokoto we move, to ask Shagari. But before then, we get in touch with Obasanjo to brief us on how much he looted to start Otta farm. To Kaduna we arrived to see Buhari, to account for his own loot.
Oh Yes. They said all of them looted, only that others covered their own tracks, unlike Abacha. They must have concrete evidence before making such a categorical statement. They should give us such evidence to confront all former heads of state, dead or alive, with same, and if they don’t have, terrible. They have no right to say “all looted….. but”, unless they have the evidence to back up their statement.
What this means is that they have concrete evidence that others too looted but refuse to make the evidence available to Justice Akanbi to do his job, and yet they are talking of no traces of others loots. As said, this categorical statement cannot be made without valid evidence and this being so, we can say that with the evidence they could trace the loots of others. But they refuse to do so only to claim that they left no evidence, of their loot.
Alternatively, if they have no evidence, and no races of their loots, it simply means that they did not loot. In the past two years Obasanjo has been asking, whoever cares, to bring up evidence against IBB showing his loots, which presumably he doesn’t have. If he doesn’t have and nobody has responded to his challenge, it simply means that IBB never looted but probably got his money through the system. This is the simple logic.
But if others think that he looted on account of what he has, then what of those in power today? How did they get what they have?
Anyway, only the Abachas are “looters”, their own political association is the only one TRACED with the virus of destabilization, they are the only ones who have been feeding Nigerians with lies that prices have gone beyond the roof even as Nigerians know that they didn’t need any Abacha to tell them of the existing price crisis in the land. However the new theory says, and it must be okeyed, that there is no food crisis in the land. It is the creation of the Abacha boys and cronies. They are the only ones peddling these lies. In point of fact, the lies have been TRACED to them because, like their oga, they don’t know how to cover their tracks. The other political association covered theirs very well and that is why the disease for sabotage and destabilization cannot be traced to them.
