Facilitation’s from me to
you and all our fellow countrymen and women. It was great going through your
recent letter, which updated me on the “new craze for sycophancy”, as one of
these, your cheeky editors puts it in one of his columns.
Personally,
I disagree that it was “a new craze for sycophancy”. I don’t also agree
that it was “an adoration of political charade” as another writer recently
coined it. Nor was it “a naked display of selfish interest”, as yet another
puts it crudely. Before your kind letter was received, that old friend of mine
phoned to say that it was “a festival of failure to deliver” or “a call on
Nigerians to assure four more years of undelivered dividends of democracy”.
There again, I vehemently disagree.
You
know these your editors, with their catchy phrases. Imagine some one saying “a
gathering of saints of political sinners whose glaring record at the federal
level was the determination to perform badly” and politicians who are unaware
of their new status as political irrelevant, most of whom suffered defeat back
home before they were invited for rehabilitation”.
I
do not think these commentators are kind to the “who and who” in Nigeria
politics, as that man at Works put it. Chairman [as Abacha usually called Wada
Nas], I do hope you still fraternize with that great NADECO fellow. You know who
I mean? He was in Ota and provided me with some details, like the
great democrat, Solomon Lar, saying that his people, of the North Central (he
never said Middle Belt) would vote for Oga 100 times to last 400 years! This is
the opinion of great and tested democrats who were relevant yesterday and still
believed they would continue to dictate the tunes until eternity. So what you
saw at Ota, in the opinion of one observer, “was a gathering of great young
men of yesterday, who will like to remain the dominant great men of for ever,
until kingdom comes, with sycophancy as an attractive sideshow and wishful
thinking the comic display of crudity in the art of politicking. Only great men
of their ilk could afford the luxury of indulging in such display of political
masquaradism and only they alone are capable, being of course, the “who and
who”, and the only ones for that matter, of the nations political terrain”.
Even this, I do not subscribe to. No, I don’t. There are some great men of
yesterday with principle and they are in millions. They are still relevant and
we need them. I look judicious notice of their attempt to cat copy me wrongly. I
never asked my governors to come kneeling to beg me contest. In Ota I understand
that 19 governors joined the crowd of pleading “beggars” such that Oga was
mirthfully touched, by their comic love for him. There were also six others who
signed the “red latter” but kept a deceptive distance as a strategy.
Chairman, I was told that 3 of the beggar.
Governors belong to your party. Have they decamped to the Peoples
Deception Party like Senator Nzaribe?. Were
they there with the full knowledge of Yusuf Ali? By the way, why hasn’t he
taken Nzeribe to court? The constitution doesn’t sanction his decampment to
PDP because there is no split in your party. Please tell your party not to
sacrifice the constitution. Anyim, the always-prostrating Senate President,
should ask Nzeribe to stay out of the senate. Only that he hasn’t the guts to
do so. Get it? Don’t ever allow that your constitution to be killed. Had
Nzeribe decamped, to say AD, the Senate would have taken action by now. They
don’t seem interested in protecting the constitution. It is sad.
Permit
me to ask a question. Where was number two when the Ota jamboree of a picnic was
taking place? Or have they dumped him? They dare not. It would be their
Waterloo. Or was he busy doing his own “tourist” traveling? I hope so.
Anenih, according to reports, just reaching me, told the Ota masquerades that
“all Nigerians earnestly ask Oga
to recontest.” These “all Nigerians” include you chairman, Ayu, Rimi, Kure
and your constantly bashed compatriots. I read some one saying that there is so
much day-dreaming going on these days within the political terrain. Look, I know
oga. He would use and dump them. If he could dump such upright people like
Awoniyi who would he not do it to? See how he used Gemade against Awoniyi only
to dump him in to River Benue at the mercy of Akume. See people like Ayu,
Bamanga, Etiebet and others, all used and dumped. What of Rimi? By the way, I
leant he is still toughening up to face them. Say hello to him and best wishes.
Same to Ani. The just has been vindicated.
Some
one was here from Ota to brief me that the 25 governors who signed the red
letter are the anointed ones who would be assisted to continue while battles
would be waged against the remaining eleven “bad boys”. Please, find out
from Bafarawa if there is any truth in this. You should also get in touch with
Yeriman Bakura to dig out further details. and the Yobe man too, who once said
that he was prepared to campaign for IBB and recently urged that Ciroma be
fielded, as the sole candidate from the North. Tell him, this is not the
language of Ota. I find something intriguing and deceitful. At Ota, Oga talked
about how touched he was with the contents of that “red letter” meaning he
knew it was a “red letter” that was in a sealed envelop, and also he told
the “beggars” that he would respond to them after two weeks for
communication with God. On arrival at the airport however, he said, he was yet
to open the envelop containing the “red letter”, yet he knew in Ota that it
was indeed a red one. At the same airport also, he said the “beggars” were
not there on a political mission but to facilitate with him and this was after
Anenih told him that he was with the “who and who” of the political schemers
of Nigeria and the Oga promised to communicate with them after two weeks, his
decision whether to re-come out or not, even as we all know that he has taken
that decision right before Awoniyi was dumped and when he said that he was not
too young to play the Mandela card and when also one Iman told us that Oga has
already decided to re-contest, ACF or no ACF. Yet Nigerians are being deceived
that pressures are being put on him by hordes of political beggars! Who is being
deceived. Can’t he and them be truthful to Nigerians even once? Sorry, please
omit this sentence in case you are going to publish this letter. I don’t want
them to accuse me of saying that Oga doesn’t want to tell you people the truth
or that he is leaving the hordes of the “carpet beggars” to deceive the good
people of Nigeria, a sign that they have no trust in them. You know,
some one could turn around to interpret what I said to the effect that “they
are playing on the intelligence of Nigerians and are taking them for a ride.”
If this is attributed to me, Mohammed would be roasted, so I have to be careful
about what they say I said. Do therefore leave out that sentence for the sake of
Mohammed. Anyway I don’t believe that such great men, of the who and who
political club, would seek to play on the intelligence of those whose votes they
want. It is not done anywhere and besides, they are honourable men, of the
distinguished fix-it-club.
How
is that man of foreign travels who told you, ACF chaps, to shut up, since you
never did anything for the children of Arewa during your own time? I understand
that he has been doing so much for Arewa by assaulting their interests with
anti-Arewa utterances such that he was crowned the Senior Advocate of anti
-Arewa. Please extend my regards to him for the wonderful work he has been doing
for them in the course of foreign travels. Let him keep it up and down. How dare
Kure, Ayu and co say that Chief Lar, wasn’t speaking for the North Central
zone at Ota? Who are they to protest what he said when he is the Kamuzu Bamda of
Middle Belt politics? Tell Kure and Ayu that they were wrong in saying the right
thing.
What
was IBB up to when he failed to join the fraternizing pleaders of Ota? I hope he
is not working to supply millions of no votes from Arewa to Oga. It would be
dangerous if he does not supply little than many. And what of Buhari? Doing
siddon look? No longer viable. Where is Gowon? What is he doing now? Some father
figuring? It would not do. Rimi and Shinkafi? Are they there or they too have
traveled out on political pilgrimage to Ota? They must be up and doing. Where is
Awoniyi and Saraki? I have a special message for them. Ask Shagari to get in
torch with Ekwueme. He should do this as a special assignment.
Gowon
should call a meeting of these people, including Na’Abba and it should hold in
either Port Harcourt or Enugu. This is very important. I will send a special
message to the meeting once I am told ahead of time. Chairman, what is happening
to the new political associations? Have they lost steam? They better not. Do you
not know that you now have three parties in one. Party of trinity: PDP the APP,
PDP the AD and PDP the PDP, but they are not three parties but one. I hope you
realize this. If these new associations are playing chameleon, you better move
in fast to capture and rescue APP for operation, “No Begging.” This is your
only option if you but know, otherwise you would end up with a zero party
system, as it is the case now. As a seasoned politician, I do not need to tell
you that APP plus AD means PDD while PDP plus AD plus APP means zero party, with
headquarters at Ota and a branch office at Aso Rock headed by Mr. Fixer. Ogbe is
just an overseer of the transition to the zero ground. By the way, was he in
Ota? If not, the head coach of the Pleading Beggars Team may fix him out.
Don’t
forget my message to Gowon. There must be a holy trinity comprising Mr. Gabas,
Chief Yamma / da Yamma and Mallam Arewa. This is very important, otherwise you
may regret it. Don’t make the mistake of making it known that this proposal is
from me. I would disown everything if you attribute it to me. Don’t forget
that I still have a political prisoner under their control. Tell Mohammed, Mamma
and all, to take it in strides and trust in Allah. Let them indulge in prayers
daily and constantly and He will not forsake them. Have members of the Zero
Party of Nigeria, (ZPN or, is it, the Trinity Party of Ota, TPO) told the public
what next they are going to offer Nigerians having offered them enormous
quantity of no dividend? Some one hinted me that “NO DEMOCRACY DIVIDEND”
would still remain their catch slogan for the 2003 operation.
Chairman,
I am hearing of Ekwueme-Na Abba; Buhari-somebody; IBB-Okpongbo; Gowon-Adegbate;
Awoniyi-somebody; Saraki-somebody; Falae-Shinkafi; Rimi-somebody, Delta-Arewa
etc. Gowon and Shagari must step out to link up as proposed, in YAGPN. You know
what the initials stand for? Ask everyone to reflect seriously on history.
Don’t allow a divided rank. Never, if you do, you will again hear “all those
who invested in my victory should consider their investment lost”. I am
warning you. Let you be driven by patience, sense of history and the need for
sustained political friendship. Please pass this message around as you tour
Yamma da Yamma, Arewa, and Gabas-YAG. It is your only salvation. Discuss this
with all “the not who and who of Ota” I hope I have made myself very clear.
LINK UP NOW is my simple message. Don’t sit down there grumbling over the
activities of the Pleading Beggars Forum of Ota, PBFO. If you link up correctly
in YAG, you will appreciate the outcome. Try it and you would be convinced.
Keep
me informed on future development.
